The best cricket betting sites in the UK are Sky Bet, Coral and Ladbrokes. Sky Bet came top overall, with 69 markets on the One Day Cup final we priced, the joint lowest price margin and the best welcome offer per £1 staked.
They differ most on the rules. Cut a Twenty20 to 16 overs a side and three of these 10 bookmakers void your total-runs bet, while the other seven settle it and pay out as normal.
We ranked 10 UK bookmakers on their cricket markets, the rain rules in their own rulebooks, their prices on two matches, what their help pages say about streaming and cash out, and a welcome offer you can use on cricket.

How we ranked the best cricket betting sites
We scored each bookmaker out of 10 on five things, then weighted them. Every score comes from something you can check yourself: a match page, a rules page, a help page or an offer’s terms.
- Market depth, 30%. Markets on Leicestershire v Middlesex, the One Day Cup final at Trent Bridge, counted logged out two days before the game. Each heading counts once, and bet builder, in-play headings and duplicated tabs were left out. The biggest count, 69, scores 10 and the rest score in proportion, rounded to the nearest whole number, with 1 the lowest.
- Settlement rules, 25%. Three rain questions from each rulebook: is there a reserve-day rule, is Duckworth-Lewis named, and is there a separate threshold for top batsman bets. One point, plus three for each question answered.
- Odds, 20%. The average margin on the match-winner market across the two matches we priced: that final and India v West Indies in a one-day international. Lower is better. Under 5% scores 10, 5% to 5.99% scores 8, and each further percentage point takes another 2 off, down to 1.
- Streaming and cash out, 15%. Whether each bookmaker’s own help pages name cricket for live streaming and for cash out. Both score 10, one scores 6 and neither scores 2.
- Welcome offer, 10%. The free bet each bookmaker gives per £1 of qualifying stake. An offer that cannot be used on cricket scores 1.
The margin is the edge built into the prices. Divide 1 by each side’s decimal price and add the two together: a fair market reads 100%, and everything above that is the bookmaker’s cut.
In the One Day Cup final, five bookmakers offered Leicestershire at 4/6, but their Middlesex prices differed, so their margins ran from 5.45% to 7.62%.
If two bookmakers finish level, the higher rules score goes first, then the bigger market count, then alphabetical order. Coral and Ladbrokes tied on every criterion, and bet365 and Betfair finished level with the same rules score and market count, so both pairs appear alphabetically.
Our best betting sign up offers page compares new-customer deals beyond cricket, and if you bet on more than one sport, see our best tennis betting sites. Streaming and cash out matter most on a phone, so our best betting apps guide is worth a look too.

Sky Bet put 69 markets on the One Day Cup final, level with bet365 and Betfair, and its 5.42% average margin was the lowest we found, matched only by Coral and Ladbrokes.
Cricket sits in the top row of the in-play tab, beside football, tennis, basketball and golf. All other sports markets can be seen in our Sky Bet review.
Score: market depth 10/10, settlement rules 7/10, odds 8/10, streaming and cash out 6/10, welcome offer 10/10, total 8.25/10.
Sky Bet’s reserve-day rule
If rain pushes a match into a reserve day, Sky Bet keeps your bet alive: “all bets will stand and will be resulted based on the events that transpire”. Betfair publishes the same wording, because both brands run on one Flutter rulebook.
/https%3A%2F%2Fmedia-eurosport.s3.gra.io.cloud.ovh.net%2Fbetting%2F2026%2F10%2Fcricket-betting-sites-sky-bet.png)
Where Sky Bet leads
Its total runs rule lists 16 overs for “Twenty20 Matches”, so a T20 cut to 16 overs a side still settles. Top batsman has its own bar, at 50% of the overs scheduled when you bet.
Where Sky Bet falls short
The rulebook does not name Duckworth-Lewis, and the streaming help page names no sports at all. Cash out on cricket covers match result markets only, with no totals or top batsman.
Sky Bet runs more than one welcome deal. The one in our coupon pays three £10 free bets for a first single or each-way bet at evens or bigger, usable on any sport, and the football offer is covered on our Sky Bet sign up offer page.
- Bets stand if play goes to a reserve day
- 5.42% average margin, joint lowest we found
- No Duckworth-Lewis rule in writing
- Cash out on cricket covers match result only
2. Coral (6.80/10): best for rain rules on a £5 stake
- Answers all 3 of our rain questions
- £5 first bet for £30 in free bets
-
Licensed in: GB
| Coral | Key facts |
|---|---|
| Markets on the One Day Cup final | 23 |
| Average match-winner margin | 5.42% |
| T20 total runs | 80% of overs scheduled |
| Top batsman | Void on a 10-over cut |

Coral answers all three of our rain questions, in the same rulebook Ladbrokes publishes, and the two are the only bookmakers on this list to name the Jayadevan system alongside Duckworth-Lewis.
Its 23 markets on the final were a third of the leaders’ 69, but its prices matched Sky Bet’s 5.42% margin. Our review of Coral counts more than 70,000 streamed events a year for funded customers, though its streaming help names racing only.
Score: market depth 3/10, settlement rules 10/10, odds 8/10, streaming and cash out 6/10, welcome offer 9/10, total 6.80/10.
How Coral settles a drawn county match
Where no draw price is offered on a County Championship match, Coral settles it Draw No Bet, so a drawn game returns your stake rather than losing it. Ladbrokes carries the same rule.
/https%3A%2F%2Fmedia-eurosport.s3.gra.io.cloud.ovh.net%2Fbetting%2F2026%2F10%2Fcricket-betting-sites-coral.png)
Where Coral leads
Its reserve-day rule is short: bets “will stand if played on that day(s)” when an official reserve day is used. The 80% innings rule is also written out for T20, T10, The Hundred and one-day cricket separately.
Where Coral falls short
Top batsman bets void once a T20 innings is cut by 10 or more overs, the strictest T20 bar of any bookmaker we checked. The rulebook also carries a copied mistake: section 18 is headed Innings Fours, but the text beneath it refers to innings runs.
A £5 first bet at 1/2 or bigger unlocks the Coral welcome offer of six £5 free bets, two of them football and racing bet builders.
- Answers all three of our rain questions
- £5 first bet for £30 in free bets
- 23 markets on the One Day Cup final, against 69 at the leaders
- Top batsman voids if an innings loses 10 overs
3. Ladbrokes (6.80/10): best for the full set of rain rules
- Answers all 3 of our rain questions
- Cash out on first-half and first 6 overs bets
-

Ladbrokes publishes Coral’s cricket rulebook word for word, so it also answers all three rain questions. Its prices matched Coral’s on both matches, and it listed the same 23 markets on the final.
Score: market depth 3/10, settlement rules 10/10, odds 8/10, streaming and cash out 6/10, welcome offer 9/10, total 6.80/10.
Ladbrokes on The Hundred and T10
Its rules spell out that an innings in The Hundred is 20 five-ball overs, so the usual 80% threshold still works. Ladbrokes and Coral are also the only two of the 10 to write T10 into their rules as a separate format.
/https%3A%2F%2Fmedia-eurosport.s3.gra.io.cloud.ovh.net%2Fbetting%2F2026%2F10%2Fcricket-betting-sites-ladbrokes.png)
Where Ladbrokes leads
Cash out on cricket goes beyond the match result. Our review of Ladbrokes lists the same three markets as its help page: match betting, first-half betting and the highest total in the first 6 overs.
Where Ladbrokes falls short
Nothing in the rulebook goes beyond Coral’s, so its weak points are the same. Top batsman voids on a 10-over cut in a T20, and there is no time limit for replaying a postponed match.
The Ladbrokes sign up offer matches Coral’s: a £5 first bet at 1/2 or bigger for six £5 free bets.
- Names Duckworth-Lewis and a reserve-day rule
- Cash out on first-half and first 6 overs bets
- 23 markets on the One Day Cup final
- Two of the six free bets are football and racing bet builders
4. bet365 (6.75/10): best for format-by-format rules
- 69 markets on the One Day Cup final
- Top batsman bets stand after 6 overs a side
-

No bookmaker listed more markets on the final than bet365’s 69, and it splits its cricket rules by format across about 30 pages.
Our bet365 review notes that player markets settle on Opta data, the same feed behind TNT Sports’ on-screen stats.
Score: market depth 10/10, settlement rules 7/10, odds 6/10, streaming and cash out 2/10, welcome offer 5/10, total 6.75/10.
Three rain rules in one bet365 match
A single T20 at bet365 can run under three different rain rules. Total runs needs “the full 20 overs for each team”, innings runs voids on a cut of three or more overs, and the handicap voids on any cut at all.
/https%3A%2F%2Fmedia-eurosport.s3.gra.io.cloud.ovh.net%2Fbetting%2F2026%2F10%2Fcricket-betting-sites-bet365.png)
Where bet365 leads
Top batsman has the lowest bar on this page, 6 overs a side, which is 30% of a T20. Its rules loosen as the format lengthens, with a one-day total needing 40 overs a side.
Where bet365 falls short
A T20 cut to 16 overs voids its total runs bet, where seven rivals settle. It publishes no reserve-day rule, and its help pages name cricket for neither streaming nor cash out.
A £10 bet at 1/5 or bigger qualifies for the bet365 bonus code offer of £30 in Bet Credits, which expire after seven days.
- 69 markets on the One Day Cup final
- Top batsman bets stand after 6 overs a side
- Total runs void unless the full 20 overs are bowled
- No reserve-day rule published
5. Betfair (6.75/10): best for cricket streaming
- Live video page names cricket
- £50 in free bets for bet builders and multiples
-
Licensed in: GB
| Betfair | Key facts |
|---|---|
| Markets on the One Day Cup final | 69 |
| Average match-winner margin | 8.96% |

| Cricket on cash out help page | Not named |
| Welcome offer | Bet £10, get £50 |
| Offer on cricket | Bet builders, accas and multiples |
| UKGC licence | 39439 |
Betfair’s live video page names cricket for customers in the UK and Ireland, which no other bookmaker on this list does.
It listed 69 markets on the final, and its rules match Sky Bet’s word for word. The Betfair review found a cricket card covering Tests, ODIs and T20 internationals, plus leagues such as the IPL and Big Bash.
Score: market depth 10/10, settlement rules 7/10, odds 2/10, streaming and cash out 6/10, welcome offer 7/10, total 6.75/10.
Betfair’s sportsbook margin
Its sportsbook prices are the weak spot: an 8.96% average margin across our two matches, against 5.42% at Sky Bet, and 13.64% on the One Day Cup final. Its exchange is a separate product with its own pricing.
/https%3A%2F%2Fmedia-eurosport.s3.gra.io.cloud.ovh.net%2Fbetting%2F2026%2F10%2Fcricket-betting-sites-betfair.png)
Where Betfair leads
Its total runs rule names a number rather than a percentage: 16 overs in a T20, so a game cut to 16 a side settles. On a reserve day, bets stand and settle on what happens, as they do at Sky Bet.
Where Betfair falls short
Its cash out help page does not name cricket, and its rulebook does not name Duckworth-Lewis.
The Betfair welcome offer is the biggest on this list at £50, paid as five £10 free bets for bet builders, accas or multiples after a £10 bet at evens.
- Live video page names cricket
- £50 welcome offer, the biggest on this list
- 8.96% average margin, second widest we found
- Free bets only for bet builders, accas and multiples
6. William Hill (5.40/10): best for cashing out cricket bets
- Cash out on cricket totals and top batsman
- £30 in free bets for any sports market
-
Licensed in: GB
| William Hill | Key facts |
|---|---|
| Markets on the One Day Cup final | 43 |

| Cricket on cash out help page | Totals, top batsman, top bowler |
| Welcome offer | Bet £10, get £30 |
| Offer on cricket | Yes, any sports market |
| UKGC licence | 39225 |
With 43 markets on the final and a 6.28% average margin, William Hill sits mid-table on both.
Our William Hill review counts cricket among its stronger sports, alongside snooker and greyhounds.
Score: market depth 6/10, settlement rules 4/10, odds 6/10, streaming and cash out 6/10, welcome offer 5/10, total 5.40/10.
William Hill’s original-overs rule
Its shortened-match rule measures 80% against “the originally allotted overs in each innings”. A match trimmed before you bet is still judged on the full figure, so a bet struck on an already-shortened game can void.
/https%3A%2F%2Fmedia-eurosport.s3.gra.io.cloud.ovh.net%2Fbetting%2F2026%2F10%2Fcricket-betting-sites-william-hill.png)
Where William Hill leads
Six of the 10 name no cricket markets in their cash out help, and Sky Bet covers match result only. William Hill also lists total runs, top batsman and top bowler once play starts, and our best cash out betting sites page compares how others handle it.
Where William Hill falls short
It publishes no reserve-day rule and does not name Duckworth-Lewis. Its WHTV streaming help page names only racing and greyhounds.
A £10 single at 1/2 or bigger unlocks the William Hill sign up offer of three £10 free bets for any sports market, cricket included.
- Cash out on totals, top batsman and top bowler in-play
- Free bets usable on any sports market
- No reserve-day rule published
- No Duckworth-Lewis rule named
7. talkSPORT BET (4.20/10): best for single-over markets
- 57 markets, 12 of them on single overs
- Settles a Super Over on the official result
-
Licensed in: GB
| talkSPORT BET | Key facts |
|---|---|
| Markets on the One Day Cup final | 57 |

| Cricket on streaming help page | Racing only |
| Cricket on cash out help page | Not named |
| Welcome offer | Up to £30 |
| Offer on cricket | No, football only |
| UKGC licence | 39576 |
talkSPORT BET put 57 markets on the final, second only to the three on 69, and 12 of them were on single overs.
Our talkSPORT BET review found streaming limited to horse and greyhound racing.
Score: market depth 8/10, settlement rules 4/10, odds 2/10, streaming and cash out 2/10, welcome offer 1/10, total 4.20/10.
talkSPORT BET and the Super Over
It settles a match decided by a Super Over on “the official result”, while Midnite’s rules give the Super Over two different outcomes.
/https%3A%2F%2Fmedia-eurosport.s3.gra.io.cloud.ovh.net%2Fbetting%2F2026%2F10%2Fcricket-betting-sites-talksport-bet.png)
Where talkSPORT BET leads
Its runs threshold is “at least 80% of the overs scheduled in either innings”, so a T20 cut to 16 overs a side settles. Top batsman has its own bar at 50% of the overs scheduled.
Where talkSPORT BET falls short
It publishes no reserve-day rule and does not name Duckworth-Lewis, and its cash out terms list eight sports without cricket.
The talkSPORT BET sign up offer will not help a cricket punter, because it matches a £10-plus football bet in free bets up to £30, all of them for football.
- 57 markets, 12 of them on single overs
- Settles a Super Over on the official result
- No reserve-day or Duckworth-Lewis rule
- Welcome offer is football only
8. BetWright (3.75/10): best for first-wicket and first-over markets
- 3 of its 7 markets on the first wicket or over
- Publishes a 50% top batsman threshold
-
Licensed in: GB
| BetWright | Key facts |
|---|---|
| Markets on the One Day Cup final | 7 |
| Average match-winner margin | 6.32% |
| T20 runs and wickets | 90% of overs scheduled |
| Top batsman | 50% of overs scheduled |

| Cricket on streaming help page | No streaming found |
| Cricket on cash out help page | Not named |
| Welcome offer | Up to £20 on bet builders |
| Offer on cricket | Bet builders only |
| UKGC licence | 64666 |
Only seven markets went up at BetWright for the final, though three of them cover the first wicket or the first over.
Score: market depth 1/10, settlement rules 7/10, odds 6/10, streaming and cash out 2/10, welcome offer 2/10, total 3.75/10.
BetWright’s 90% rule
BetWright needs “at least 90% of the full number of scheduled overs at the time the bet was struck”. In a T20 that is 18 overs, where seven rivals settle at 16. Only bet365 and NetBet ask for more, with the full 20 overs on totals.
/https%3A%2F%2Fmedia-eurosport.s3.gra.io.cloud.ovh.net%2Fbetting%2F2026%2F10%2Fcricket-betting-sites-betwright.png)
Where BetWright leads
It publishes a separate top batsman threshold at 50% of the scheduled overs, and names Duckworth-Lewis for handicap markets.
Where BetWright falls short
When outside interference stops a match, it keeps the choice: “we reserve the right to void bets”. No reserve-day rule is published, and its cash out rules name no sports.
Its welcome offer pays £1 in free bets for every £1 staked on bet builders, up to £20, after a £20 deposit.
- Three of its seven markets cover the first wicket or over
- Publishes a 50% top batsman threshold
- Needs 90% of the overs before runs bets stand
- Only seven markets on the One Day Cup final
9. NetBet (3.70/10): best for player milestone markets
- 46 markets, 14 on fifties and hundreds
- Names Duckworth-Lewis in its rules
-
Licensed in: GB

| Offer on cricket | No, football, racing and tennis |
| UKGC licence | 39170 |
NetBet’s 46 markets on the final beat five of its rivals, and 14 of them were on players reaching a fifty or a hundred.
Its 10.33% average margin was the widest we found. Our NetBet review UK rates in-play as its strongest area, though it has no live streaming.
Score: market depth 7/10, settlement rules 4/10, odds 1/10, streaming and cash out 2/10, welcome offer 1/10, total 3.70/10.
NetBet’s T20 total runs rule
Its total runs rule says the match “must be scheduled for the full 20 overs and there must be an official result”, so a T20 cut to 16 overs a side voids the bet. Match betting still settles on the official result.
/https%3A%2F%2Fmedia-eurosport.s3.gra.io.cloud.ovh.net%2Fbetting%2F2026%2F10%2Fcricket-betting-sites-netbet.png)
Where NetBet leads
Its rulebook names Duckworth-Lewis, so a revised target settles a match bet rather than voiding it. It also runs method of dismissal as both a 2-way and a 6-way market.
Where NetBet falls short
It publishes no separate top batsman threshold, and its cash out terms name no sports.
The NetBet bonus code offer gives £20 in free bets for a £10 bet, but all four tokens are for football, racing and tennis.
- 46 markets, 14 on fifties and hundreds
- Names Duckworth-Lewis in its rules
- No top batsman threshold published
- Free bets cannot be used on cricket
10. Midnite (3.65/10): best for a single free bet on cricket
- Rain rule measured on the original overs
- £10 single free bet with no sport limit

| Welcome offer | Bet £10, get £30 |
| Offer on cricket | £10 single free bet, no sport limit |

Midnite offered three markets on the final: the result, the top batter and the opening partnership. That is less than half of anyone else’s card, though its rulebook answers two of our three rain questions.
Score: market depth 1/10, settlement rules 7/10, odds 4/10, streaming and cash out 2/10, welcome offer 5/10, total 3.65/10.
How Midnite measures a shortened match
It measures 80% against “the originally scheduled overs in the relevant innings” rather than the schedule when you bet. A match shortened before you bet is still judged on the original figure.

It names Duckworth-Lewis-Stern, and its top batsman bar is 40% of the originally allotted overs, second lowest after bet365’s 6 overs a side.
Where Midnite falls short
Its Super Over wording contradicts itself: one clause says the Super Over decides the result, another says the match settles as a tie regardless. Cash out help names esports only.
Its £30 welcome offer for a £10 bet includes a £10 single free bet at evens or bigger, and the terms name no sport, so it can go on cricket.
- Names Duckworth-Lewis-Stern
- £10 single free bet with no sport limit
- Only three markets on the One Day Cup final
- Two clauses give a Super Over different outcomes
Cricket betting rules: what happens when rain stops play
The same rain delay voids a total-runs bet at three of these bookmakers and settles it at the other seven. Every one of them sets a minimum amount of play before a bet stands, but they do not agree on what that minimum is.
There are three answers in play: the full 20 overs for a T20 total, 90% of the scheduled overs, and 80%. Seven use 80%, and two of those write it as a flat 16 overs rather than a percentage. Rules change, so check before you bet.
| Bookmaker | Shortened match | Top batsman | Reserve day | DLS named |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Sky Bet | 16 overs, T20 totals | 50% | Bets stand | No |
| Coral | 80% of scheduled overs | Void on 10-over cut | Stand if played | Yes |
| Ladbrokes | 80% of scheduled overs | Void on 10-over cut | Stand if played | Yes |
| bet365 | Full 20 overs, T20 totals | 6 overs a side | Not published | Yes |
| Betfair | 16 overs, T20 totals | 50% | Bets stand | No |
| William Hill | 80% of original overs | 50% | Not published | No |
| BetWright | 90% of scheduled overs | 50% | Not published | Handicaps only |
| talkSPORT BET | 80% of scheduled overs | 50% | Not published | No |
| Midnite | 80% of original overs | 40% | Not published | Yes |
| NetBet | Full 20 overs, T20 totals | Not published | Not published | Yes |
A T20 cut to 16 overs a side
Sixteen overs is exactly 80% of 20, and every rule that says “at least 80%” includes 80%. So the result comes down to which threshold your bookmaker uses.
- Sky Bet and Betfair: settle. Both list 16 overs for “Twenty20 Matches” on total runs, so the shortened match meets the minimum exactly.
- Coral and Ladbrokes: settle. Their runs rules need “at least 80% of the overs scheduled to be bowled at the time the bet was placed”, and 16 of 20 is 80%.
- Midnite: settles. It needs “at least 80% of the originally scheduled overs in the relevant innings”, and 16 overs meets 80% of the original 20.
- William Hill: settles. Its total runs market needs “at least 80% of the originally allotted overs in each innings”, and each side batted 16 of its 20.
- talkSPORT BET: settles. Its threshold is “at least 80% of the overs scheduled in either innings”, which a 16-over innings meets.
- bet365: voids total runs. Its Total Runs in the Match rule requires “the full 20 overs for each team”, so 16 overs a side falls short.
- NetBet: voids total runs. The match “must be scheduled for the full 20 overs and there must be an official result”.
- BetWright: voids runs and wickets. It needs 90% of the scheduled overs, which is 18, two more than were bowled.
At bet365 and NetBet that 16-over cut voids only the total-runs bet. Match betting carries on and settles on the official result, so a winning match bet is still paid.
Midnite and William Hill measure their 80% against the overs first scheduled, while the other 80% rules use whatever was scheduled when you placed the bet. So a bet placed after a match was shortened can void at those two and settle elsewhere.

Top batsman thresholds
Top batsman gets its own threshold at nine of the 10, and only NetBet publishes none. bet365 is the most forgiving, needing 6 overs a side, which is 30% of a T20, and in a T20 Coral and Ladbrokes are the strictest, voiding once an innings loses 10 overs.
Abandoned matches and the Super Over
Abandoned matches are handled in three ways. Five void automatically for “external factors”, while bet365, NetBet, Midnite and William Hill carve weather out of that rule and handle rain under a separate clause, which still voids anything undetermined.
BetWright words it as a choice, saying “we reserve the right to void bets”, but that covers outside interference only. Its weather rule is automatic, so rain voids there as it does everywhere else.
On a Super Over, talkSPORT BET settles on the official result, while Midnite says in one clause that the Super Over is used for settlement and in another that the match settles as a tie regardless of it.
Ten brands, eight rulebooks
Some of these bookmakers share a rulebook, so the same words decide your bet at two brands.
| Rulebook | Brands | How we know |
|---|---|---|
| Flutter | Betfair, Sky Bet | Same wording, same help platform |
| Entain | Ladbrokes, Coral | Same 40 sections, same copied typo |
Betfair and Sky Bet match word for word on every rain rule, from the 16-over minimum to the reserve day, and differ only in branding and in which markets each lists. Ladbrokes and Coral publish the same document down to a mistake, and neither page names its own brand.
bet365 and NetBet look close, but they part company on top batsman, on how long a postponed match has to be replayed and across several phrases, which makes them two rulebooks rather than one.
The cricket markets worth knowing
Four markets and two ways of betting come up on most cricket match pages, and each reacts to rain in its own way.
Match winner
Match winner is a bet on which side wins. In Tests and County Championship games the draw is priced as a third outcome.
Cut a T20 to 16 overs and match winner still settles on the official result at bet365 and NetBet, even though their total-runs bets void. Five bookmakers name Duckworth-Lewis for match bets, so a revised target settles the bet there, and BetWright names it for handicaps only.
Top batsman
Top batsman asks which player scores most runs for a side. Every player sits under one heading, which is why it counts once in our depth scores however long the list runs.
bet365 needs 6 overs a side, Midnite asks 40%, and Betfair, Sky Bet, William Hill, talkSPORT BET and BetWright all set 50%. Coral and Ladbrokes void once an innings loses 10 overs, and NetBet publishes no separate rule, so its general shortened-match rule decides these bets.
Total match runs
An over or under bet on the runs both sides score, and the market rain threatens most, because fewer overs mean fewer runs. Cut a T20 to 16 overs a side and it settles at seven bookmakers and voids at bet365, NetBet and BetWright.
Only William Hill names full-match totals among its in-play cash out markets. Coral and Ladbrokes cover the first 6 overs total only.
Method of dismissal
How the next wicket falls: caught, bowled, lbw, run out or stumped. Caught is much the commonest, so it carries the shortest price.
bet365 and NetBet both run it as a 2-way market, caught or not caught, alongside the full 6-way version, and both state that bets are void if no further wicket falls. William Hill is the one bookmaker listing Next Dismissal Method among its in-play cash out markets.
In-play
In-play prices the match ball by ball, with the odds moving on every wicket and boundary. None of it exists 48 hours out, which is why our depth count leaves it alone, and a delay shifts the prices before a single over is lost.
Cash out lets you act on that, but cricket coverage varies a lot.
Sky Bet lists match result markets, Coral and Ladbrokes add first-half betting and the highest first 6 overs total, and William Hill goes widest. The other six name no cricket markets in their cash out help.
Bet builder
Several selections from one match, combined into a single bet. We left it out of the market count because it is a tool rather than a market.
Two of the welcome offers run through it. BetWright only pays its bonus on bet builder stakes, and Betfair limits its free bets to bet builders, accas and multiples.
If rain voids one selection, that bookmaker’s bet builder rules decide what happens to the rest.
How rain rules change by competition
Format changes how a rain rule reads, so the same bookmaker can treat a Hundred match, a T20 and a Test differently.
The Hundred
The Hundred counts balls, not overs, so every rulebook has to convert it before a threshold means anything. Eight of the 10 define an over as five legal deliveries, making a full innings 20 overs.
bet365 and NetBet go further and set a ball figure directly: an innings runs bet voids if the innings is cut by 11 or more balls. Ladbrokes and Coral spell out that an innings is 20 five-ball overs.
T20 competitions
Ladbrokes and Coral are the only two of the 10 that write T10 into their rulebooks as a separate format, with its own 80% threshold alongside T20 and one-day cricket.
bet365 goes the other way and sets a floor: in matches of 10 overs or less, an innings runs bet voids unless the whole innings is completed.
County Championship and Test cricket
Midnite publishes two first-class thresholds: 200 overs before a drawn match settles its aggregate markets, and 60 overs in an innings before innings markets stand.
BetWright requires 50 overs in an innings instead, and Coral and Ladbrokes settle a drawn County Championship match Draw No Bet where no draw price is offered.
One-day internationals and 50-over cricket
The thresholds loosen as the format lengthens. bet365 needs at least 40 overs a side for a one-day total, against the full 20 in a T20, and voids innings runs on a 5-over cut rather than a 3-over one.
Ladbrokes and Coral hold the 80% line across every limited-overs format, so a 50-over game needs 40 overs a side, the same proportion as a T20 needing 16.
Best cricket betting sites UK: the verdict
Sky Bet is the best cricket betting site in the UK on our scores, with 8.25/10, ahead of Coral and Ladbrokes on 6.80.
It shares the top mark on market depth, odds, and streaming and cash out, and has the best welcome offer per £1 staked.
The 10 differ widely on the details. The same rain delay meets three different rules, the reserve day goes unanswered at six bookmakers, and the bookmaker’s cut nearly doubles from 5.42% at the top of the table to 10.33% near the bottom.
Whichever of the best betting sites for cricket you choose, read its rain rules before you bet.
Responsible gambling
Bet only with money you can afford to lose, and set a deposit limit before your first cricket bet. Cricket runs all day and all summer, which makes it easy to bet more often than you meant to, so take breaks and do not chase losses from a rain-affected match.
All 10 bookmakers here hold a UK Gambling Commission licence, accept customers aged 18 and over and must offer self-exclusion.
If betting stops being fun, GamCare runs the National Gambling Helpline on 0808 8020 133, free and open 24 hours a day, and GamStop lets you block every UK-licensed gambling site and app for free.
Cricket betting sites FAQs
Sky Bet, Coral and Ladbrokes top our ranking. We scored 10 UK bookmakers on cricket markets, rain rules, odds, streaming and cash out, and a welcome offer usable on cricket.
Sky Bet shares the top marks for markets and price, and has the best offer per £1 staked. Coral and Ladbrokes are the only two that answer all three of our rain questions.
Your stake comes back in almost every case, but the route differs. Five void automatically for “external factors”, and four handle weather under a separate rule.
BetWright reserves the right to decide on outside interference, though rain still voids there.
It depends on the bookmaker. Seven set the bar at 80%, which is 16 overs in a T20, BetWright needs 90%, and bet365 and NetBet need the full 20 overs.
Match betting is separate and still settles on the official result.
Only where the rules say so. Betfair and Sky Bet say bets stand, and Ladbrokes and Coral say bets stand if played on an official reserve day.
The other six publish nothing on reserve days.
Duckworth-Lewis-Stern sets a revised target when rain shortens a limited-overs match. Five of these 10 name it for match bets, so a revised result settles your bet, and BetWright names it for handicaps only.
It usually loses. Betfair, Sky Bet, Midnite and William Hill keep the bet live if the player was named in the starting eleven, so a player who never bats is a loser.
bet365, NetBet and BetWright settle these bets as losers too.
You can lose the free bet itself. Coral and Ladbrokes do not return a free bet stake when the bet voids.
Midnite and BetWright both say a voided qualifying bet does not count towards their welcome offer.
Yes, for anyone aged 18 or over. In Great Britain, bookmakers must hold a Gambling Commission licence, and each licence number on this page is in that bookmaker’s key facts table.
Three tied on 69: bet365, Betfair and Sky Bet, counted on the One Day Cup final. Counts change from fixture to fixture, so treat it as a snapshot.
