NetBet review (2026): In-play betting, markets, and features tested

Between April and May 2026, I placed more than 30 bets on NetBet using a funded account, made 3 separate withdrawals and contacted customer support twice. The fastest withdrawal cleared in just over 6 hours.

Two months in, the honest verdict is this: NetBet’s sportsbook is sharper than most punters expect, and the in-play section is the best thing about it. If you watch Premier League or Champions League on TNT Sports, NetBet works naturally alongside it. The SnapBet feature, which lets you bet on a goal in the next 30 seconds to 10 minutes, is built for that exact situation. TNT Sports does the streaming. You bet on NetBet.

Where it falls short is the lack of a livestream and the mobile app. It scores 1.5 out of 5 on the App Store and 2.9 out of 5 on Google Play. For a bookmaker whose main pitch is in-play betting on live matches, those numbers are hard to ignore.

Is NetBet legit? Safety and security

NetBet is a fully licensed and regulated bookmaker in the UK. The platform holds NetBet UKGC licence number 39170, issued by the UK Gambling Commission, and a Malta Gaming Authority licence. It has been active in the UK sports betting market since 2009, giving it over 15 years of operating history here.

Games are independently audited for fairness by iTech Labs, and the platform is registered with IBAS (Independent Betting Adjudication Service) for impartial dispute resolution.

On Trustpilot, NetBet scores 4.1/5 from 2,815 reviews. Most negative reviews relate to verification delays and account queries, not payment processing or rigged odds. That pattern is normal for a regulated UK bookmaker.

The Gambling Commission has fined NetBet twice. The most recent penalty was £650,000 in November 2025. The regulator found that NetBet failed to spot customers showing signs of problem gambling: one player deposited and lost their full monthly limit during late-night sessions starting at 3 am, with no checks made. Another deposited £31,000 in 2 days by exploiting a reset of their monthly deposit limit, and it was only flagged after a staff member manually reviewed the account.

NetBet is not the only UK bookmaker to receive fines of this type. It continues to trade under its licence. For any punter using the site, the practical step is to set a deposit limit before you start. GamCare (gamcare.org.uk) and BeGambleAware (begambleaware.org) offer free support.

What bonuses and promotions can I find on Netbet?

NetBet offers a no-fuss welcome offer, then continues rewarding existing players with a range of bonuses and ongoing promotions, including acca boosts, money-back offers, and loyalty rewards. Let’s break them down.

NetBet welcome offer: £20 in free bets

A straightforward welcome offer of £20 in free bets is available to new UK punters. Once you have signed up with the NetBet bonus code, you must make a first deposit and bet of £10 or more at minimum odds of 1/1 (2.0). Deposits via e-wallets such as Neteller and Skrill are excluded.

The bonus is paid out once the first bet is settled as 4x £5 free bet tokens:

Each free bet must be used within 7 days. Any resulting winnings are given as cash with no playthrough requirements, but the stake is not included in the payout.

The Netpoints scheme is the most underrated thing NetBet offers. Most UK bookmakers at this level don’t run loyalty programmes at all. If you bet regularly across multiple sports, the points accumulate without any extra effort.

Comparing the odds

Overround is the built-in profit margin a bookmaker bakes into its prices. A market where the true probability of all outcomes adds up to 100% would have 0% overround. In practice, every bookmaker prices slightly above that to make a profit. The higher the overround, the worse value you are getting as a punter.

I checked the full match result market for Mexico v South Africa, one of the opening World Cup 2026 group stage fixtures, across all 3 bookmakers on 25 May 2026. I also checked the same fixture at NetBet and Swifty Sports across 5 separate group stage matches to get a broader average.

The 3 bookmakers are not like-for-like comparisons, and that is deliberate. Swifty Sports is a newer, smaller operator with a similarly poor app rating to NetBet (2.7 out of 5 on iOS). Betfred is a long-established bookmaker with 4.6 out of 5 on the App Store and over 1 million Google Play downloads. Together they give you a picture of where NetBet sits at both ends of the market.

The picture is clear. Betfred offers the tightest margins here at 5%. NetBet comes in at 7.75%, which is a noticeably worse deal on this fixture. Swifty Sports prices at 13.10%, nearly 3 times the Betfred margin.

Across 5 World Cup group stage fixtures, NetBet averaged 8.05% overround. Swifty Sports averaged 10.64% across the same set.

The Combo Boost partly offsets NetBet’s odds disadvantage on accas. For single bets on football, the raw prices at Betfred are likely to be sharper. Comparison tools will often find better prices at other bookmakers.

Live streaming and in-play betting at NetBet: use TNT Sports alongside

NetBet shut down NetBet TV and no longer streams live sport. For a TNT Sports subscriber, that is less of a problem than it sounds. TNT Sports covers Premier League, Champions League and NBA live. NetBet’s in-play section handles the betting alongside it.

The in-play section covers more than 25,000 events per month. Whatever match is on TNT Sports tonight, there will almost certainly be a full range of in-play markets on NetBet to go with it. For matches not on your main channel, the Match Live tool shows real-time stats and score updates within the platform.

Access: You need a funded account with any balance to use Match Live and the in-play markets.

SnapBet is the feature that sets NetBet apart from its rivals. You choose a time window between 30 seconds and 10 minutes and bet that a goal will be scored inside it. If you are watching a match on TNT and the game starts to open up, you can act on what you are seeing in real time. No equivalent feature exists at bet365, William Hill or Sky Bet.

Cash out

Full and partial cash out are both available at NetBet. The main caveat, as NetBet states in its terms, is that cash out is not guaranteed for every market and can be suspended at any time.

Cash out lets you settle a bet before the event finishes. If your team goes 1-0 up after 60 minutes and you want to lock in a return rather than risk the lead slipping, you take the cash-out offer. Partial cash out takes this a step further: you settle a portion of the bet at the current value and leave the rest running. That gives you a guaranteed return on part of your stake while still having skin in the game.

Both options are confirmed as available on the platform. From the NetBet site: “If your decision is to cash out, then we’ll provide you with the services to do this… you can also partially cash out your bets.” The feature works on pre-match and in-play bets.

NetBet’s own rules confirm the limitation plainly: “NetBet does not guarantee the availability of the Cash Out feature for all markets, events or in-play betting opportunities. The Cash Out option may be suspended, unavailable or withdrawn at any time due to market volatility, technical factors or other operational considerations.”

In practice, cash out is available on football, horse racing, and the main in-play sports, as listed by the platform. Whether it holds up reliably during high-traffic moments is not something this review can confirm from personal testing. If in-play cash out is central to how you bet, test it on a low-stakes market first before relying on it in a bigger situation.

NetBet app and mobile experience

NetBet has separate iOS and Android apps for sports betting and casino. I downloaded and tested the iOS version in May 2026, and it offered very little over the mobile site. I also tested out the Netbet app on a friend’s Android (version 1.0.14). . Both Face ID and Touch ID are available on supported iOS devices, and the Android app supports biometric login.

The full feature set is present. The NetBet sports apps are also lightweight at 22 MB on Android and around 33.8 MB on iOS, so they won’t eat into your phone storage.

The ratings are a different story.

For a bookmaker whose entire pitch to punters is in-play betting on live matches, this is the number that keeps the overall score where it is. The iOS review count is low enough that a handful of bad experiences can drag the average down. But the Android rating from a larger sample is also poor. Reported issues: crashes, slow load times, and a broken in-play interface. The one area where you most want the app to work is the one area where it doesn’t.

Use the mobile site first. It runs more reliably than the app for most functions. If the app works for you after a week, keep it. If it doesn’t, the mobile site is a perfectly functional alternative. Just don’t build your in-play workflow around the app until you know it’s stable on your device.

NetBet payments: Instant deposits + most withdrawals within the same day

NetBet supports 9+ deposit methods, most of which are also available for withdrawals, all with a £10 minimum. There are no deposit fees across any method. You can deposit and withdraw up to £50,000, which is among the highest limits I’ve reviewed.

I made my first deposit of £20 via Apple Pay on 12 April 2026. I refreshed the balance, and the funds were there instantly. 

My 2nd deposit was £15 on 1 May 2026 via Pay by Bank transfer from my Revolut account. The deposit was also instant. No fees were added in both cases.

Withdrawal methods: What is the fastest payout method at NetBet?

PayPal and Visa are the quickest payout methods, clearing funds within 5 hours if not instantly. NetBet requires you to withdraw to a method you have used for deposits within the last 6 months.

I made a total of three withdrawals over the test period, and here’s what I found out:

• On 15 April 2026, I made a £22 Apple Pay withdrawal. I got the funds in 6 hours & around 35 minutes. No charges were added.
• Withdrew £30 via Pay by Bank on 6 May 2026 – Funds took 5 hours + 22 minutes to clear into Revolut account
• Another £25 Pay by Bank withdrawal on 17 May 2026 – I got funds in my Revolut account 7 hours after requesting

Live chat runs until 11 pm, which covers the peak betting window. Not 24/7; if something goes wrong at 2 am on a weekend, you’ll have to wait until morning. In my NetBet review, I also found NetBet social media pages on X, Facebook, and Instagram, but they are for informational purposes only. Excellent for getting promo updates and not reaching customer service.

The FAQ handles the standard questions well enough that you generally don’t need to contact support for routine queries about deposits, verification, or bet settlement. When you do need a real person, the response times during my testing were acceptable on chat and email.

While reviewing, I deliberately chatted with the NetBet AI support assistant (Lucky) to try it out. After 4 chats about support and withdrawal methods, the AI chatbot connected me to a live agent. A friendly reply from Natasha came in after 90 seconds.

Overall feeling on Netbet

Football is where NetBet is strongest, and it shows. At time of testing, 417 football markets were live on the platform. A top Premier League fixture will give you more than 300 individual markets: match result, both teams to score, player props, in-play totals and plenty more. The same depth runs across the Champions League, La Liga, Bundesliga, Serie A and the EFL Championship.

The Early Payout feature is available on football. If your pre-match bet on a team to win goes 2 goals ahead at any point during the match, NetBet pays it out as a winner regardless of the final score. That applies only to 90-minute match betting markets.

• Bet Builder – Covers 9 sports, including most top league football matches. I used the feature to create a six-leg bet builder for the Fiorentina v Atlanta Serie A match on 22 May 2026, and got 20/1 odds.
• SnapBet – Bet that a goal will be netted within the next 30 seconds to 10 minutes of a live match
• Bet Assist uses AI to recommend markets based on your stake and preferences

With horse racing, Best Odds Guaranteed covers all UK and Irish meetings, which means if the starting price is higher than the price you took, you get paid at the bigger price. Markets run across Cheltenham, the Grand National, Royal Ascot, and major overseas meetings, including Australia, South Africa, and the USA. Timeform form data is available for UK races, which is genuinely useful for researching runners.

For Extra Place races, NetBet extends the payout positions beyond standard terms. You get 4 places in races with at least 10 runners, 5 places in races with at least 16 runners and 6 places in races with at least 22 runners. If your horse runs a solid fourth in a big field, you can still get paid.

The Monday Profit Boost gives you 5 x 10% profit boosts on horse racing every Monday. A money-back special returns your stake if your horse finishes 2nd to the starting price favourite.

Darts and handball each feature more than 18 markets. At the time of testing, 147 tennis markets and 62 basketball markets were live, with Roland Garros and the NBA running simultaneously. eSports covers 50+ markets on CS:GO and Dota 2. Virtual sports run around the clock.

The casino product is more developed than at several UK rivals of similar size, holding 5,500+ games from 50+ providers, including Evolution Gaming, Pragmatic Play, NetEnt and Playtech. The live casino has 150+ tables. 2 jackpots run simultaneously: the NetBet Jackpot and the Playtech Jackpot. Online poker runs through the iPoker network.

How we evaluated NetBet

As with our other reviews, we signed up for and funded a Netbet account and tested it for 2 months. I have many years of experience covering UK sports betting sites, and throughout this review process, I placed around 20 bets on Netbet, mainly on football and horse racing, but also on basketball and darts, between April and May 2026, on both the desktop site and the mobile app. I tested the SnapBet, Bet Assist and the full banking process, including 3 withdrawals, but did not manage to test the cash out feature personally.
