Yesterday’s World Cup results

  • Argentina 3-2 Egypt
  • Switzerland 0-0 Colombia (Switzerland win on pens)

Our top tip of under 2.5 goals for both matches came in comfortably during Switzerland and Colombia, with the match panning out just as we expected, with both sides frightened to lose the game inside 90 minutes. However, we were way off with the same prediction for Argentina vs Egypt, in what turned out to be the match of the tournament so far.

However, it wasn't all bad news, as we successfully backed Messi to score anytime, which he did despite missing a penalty earlier in the match.

Outright World Cup predictions

While we all take a collective breath, it is worth taking a look at the some of the outright markets for the tournament now that there are only eight teams left in the competition, including the top goalscorer odds and player of the tournaments odds. Could Lionel Messi complete a clean sweet at 39 years old or will Kylian Mbappe reign supreme?
