Coliseum, Getafe
Thursday, 8pm UK time (9pm local)
Brighton have not conceded in four European matches this season, and Thursday's Conference League trip to Getafe is a chance to extend that run just days after a first win at Manchester City's ground.
Kick-off at the Coliseum is at 8pm UK time (9pm local), and anyone weighing up where to place a bet can start with our guides to the best new UK gambling websites and the best UK bookmakers for football betting.
Preview and form: Getafe vs Brighton
Getafe sit 30th in the league phase table with one point after a 5-2 home defeat by Lugano on 22 October, a game that left Jose Bordalas saying he felt misled by the club and that his squad is too small for three competitions.
Bordalas made seven changes for that match and reversed the rotation at half-time, with his side trailing 3-1, and he has also admitted that the number of red cards Getafe have picked up this season has hurt them.
They responded on 1 November by beating Sevilla 3-1 after trailing at the break, with Enes Unal equalising in the 68th minute, Martin Satriano scoring five minutes later and Orel Mangala adding a third in stoppage time after Manu Bueno's red card for Sevilla.
That was a second successive win following a 3-2 Copa del Rey victory at Lebrijana, where Getafe came from 2-0 down, and it lifted them to 13th in LaLiga, although they have scored only eight league goals in 11 matches.
Back in European competition for the first time in seven seasons after a 1-0 win over Osasuna on the final day of last season secured their place, Getafe drew 1-1 at Craiova on 15 October before the Lugano defeat, conceding six goals across the two games.
Getafe then travel to Villarreal in LaLiga on Sunday, so Bordalas has to balance this game against a league fixture three days later.
Brighton's 1-0 win at the Etihad on 31 October was their first at Manchester City's ground, with Yasin Ayari scoring in the 11th minute after a mistake from Matheus Nunes.
That came only days after an EFL Cup exit at the same ground, a 2-2 draw that City won 4-3 on penalties, and Thursday completes a run of five successive away games.
Fabian Hurzeler's side are in their first Conference League season, and after coming through the play-off against Tromso, they beat Kauno Zalgiris 4-0 with two goals from Georginio Rutter before drawing 0-0 at Jablonec.
Domestically they sit third in the Premier League on 19 points, and their 24 goals in nine games make them the division's top scorers.
Pascal Gross and Ayari have three league goals each, while goalkeeper Bart Verbruggen made several saves at the Etihad, including one from Jeremy Doku late on.
Team news and predicted XIs: Getafe vs Brighton
Getafe
Carvajal joined as a free agent after leaving Real Madrid and started against Sevilla in LaLiga, but he cannot play in this competition because he signed after the deadline for the league phase squad list.
That leaves Kiko Femenia or Davinchi to cover at right-back, with Davinchi one of Bordalas's half-time changes against Sevilla.
Uche is out for the season with a cruciate ligament injury and Juanmi is missing with a knee problem, while Romero has a muscle issue but is back in training.
Getafe probable lineup vs Brighton
Soria; Femenia, Boselli, Djene, Valou; Gudelj, Serrano; Garcia, Terrats, Satriano; Unal
Brighton
Ferguson, Mitoma and Minteh are all expected back before the end of November and Tzimas is still working his way back from a long-term knee injury, so Hurzeler has to rely on Charalampos Kostoulas, Rutter, Ibrahim Osman and Promise David as his forwards.
Struijk has a thigh problem and has been building fitness with the under-21s, with Getafe or the following weekend's game against Brentford the likely return dates.
Kadioglu hurt his hip against Liverpool and missed both City games, although Hurzeler has sounded optimistic that the full-back could be an option for the trip to Spain.
Hurzeler made nine changes for the EFL Cup tie at City and returned to his regular side for the league game, so a line-up close to the Etihad one is the likeliest, with perhaps one or two rotations after five away games.
Brighton probable lineup vs Getafe
Verbruggen; Costinha, Vuskovic, Dunk, Boscagli; Gross, Chema Andres; Gomez, Ayari, De Cuyper; Kostoulas

Head-to-head: Getafe vs Brighton
Getafe and Brighton have met only twice, both times in pre-season friendlies, so Thursday will be the first competitive meeting between the clubs.
Getafe won the more recent of those games 2-0 at the Amex Stadium on 7 August 2021, and Brighton won the first 1-0 on 17 July 2013.
Hurzeler only took charge at Brighton in June 2024 at the age of 31, so neither friendly offers a useful guide to the two current squads.
