TRUMP 2-6 SELBY
Trump pots the green, but it decelerates and he loses any spin he wanted on the ball. He then goes for a snooker behind the respotted green, but he falls short of pace!
Trump concedes the frame after the foul and he will have a tough second session on his hands as Mark Selby goes four ahead.
TRUMP 2-5 SELBY (28-66*)
Good shot from Trump, it's not a snooker but he blocks off a pocket with the green. Selby avoids the foul, but Trump now pots the red and a black.
He finishes with another brilliant snooker with the cue ball behind the brown, and the red behind the black at the other end of the table. Selby steps up and misses.
One foul, one to go for Trump.
TRUMP 2-5 SELBY (16-66*)
Trump will now need two snookers from Selby as he goes 50 up. Selby misses a long red up to the green corner, and Trump will fight for it.
It's a fantastic snooker behind the black with the two reds up just under the D. Selby makes it without leaving a chance on the table.
TRUMP 2-5 SELBY (16-31*)
A nicely controlled cannon opens up the pack and Selby is charging forward now. Trump will be ruing that overcut black as he see Selby pull away and in control.
TRUMP 2-5 SELBY (16-1*)
Trump back on the break, Selby's increased errors after the interval are costing him. But Trump overcuts the black just as hope for 5-3 started to gather, and Selby pots into the right middle pocket.
TRUMP 2-5 SELBY (1*-0)
Trump tries a red into the right corner pocket, but it stays stubborn and rejects the ball. Selby tries one into the opposing yellow corner and his shot is also denied.
Big frame for both to impact the scoreline and put pressure onto their rival.
TRUMP 2-5 SELBY (1*-0)
Trump takes the first red, but the cue ball ends up in the middle of nowhere to force him to stop. This is the last frame of this early session with the remaining 11 to be played at 7pm. Will the two play it bold or be cautious?
TRUMP 2-5 SELBY
Frame ball for Trump on the black, and it goes smoothly into the left corner pocket. He will be massively relieved about this frame, and he caps it all off with a resounding clearance!
TRUMP 1-5 SELBY (35*-17)
Selby levels up a long red but misses much to his chagrin. Trump now has a go at it with the rest, and the tide might be turning now. He makes the black comfortably, though the positioning of his cue ball is a bit off.
Nevertheless, he makes the red to extend his lead again.
TRUMP 1-5 SELBY (18-17*)
Trump misses a black that the right corner pocket seems to deny, and it stays in the mouth. Selby hops back on the table to pot a red, and he tries to pick up the black on the corner, but the pocket says no again!
TRUMP 1-5 SELBY (11*-16)
Selby on the break, he goes up to 16 in the blink of an eye. But his next shot for the blue into the middle pocket sees the cue ball hit a red, and it rolls into the left corner pocket in a stroke of luck for Trump.
The Ace is on the table now with a handy few starting points with that foul.
ONE IN A MILLION
Lady Luck shines on the Jester as he pots a miraculous red to help him in the opening frame.

TRUMP 1-5 SELBY
A wolf whistle from the crowd as Trump embarks on the clearance, he pots a showy pink then taps the black to finish this frame.
It's still very much an uphill battle but he will be happy to see that zero taken off next to his name.
TRUMP 0-5 SELBY (78*-7)
Trump is on the blue for frame ball with three red left, he makes it comfortably and he will be relieved to chip away at the glaring five-frame deficit Selby racked up earlier.
TRUMP 0-5 SELBY (37*-7)
Trump can only get 24 on this break and now Selby is back on the table. But it's lucky for Trump as he can only get seven.
Trump gets an opportunity to make up some ground now.
TRUMP 0-5 SELBY (18*-0)
Selby misses his first shot on the long red. They're playing safety after safety now, then Trump finds a line onto a red. He hasn't been able to score above 70 points so far, he needs to collect himself if he wants to get back into this match.
TRUMP 0-5 SELBY
A stunningly thin slice on a red, and it's perfect onto the black for Selby. He then gets a fantastic fluke off what seemed like game over, the Jester is infallible.
Selby notches his fifth century to surpass Ding's four and he is halfway to what he needs for the trophy!
TRUMP 0-4 SELBY (1-71*)
Selby is making it look easy out on the table so far. He uses all of his six-foot frame to lean over for the red, which gets him an excellent line on the blue into the middle.
It's hard to see how Trump can claw it back when Selby is in such good form right now.
TRUMP 0-4 SELBY (1-22*)
It's a miss each from Trump and Selby into the right corner pocket. Selby is the one to score next, and then pots a black off an awkward angle into the yellow corner. The tables have been labelled by the players as difficult at this tournament, but Selby is admirably keeping his pot success up above 90%.
WE'RE BACK! TRUMP 0-4 SELBY (1-0*)
We are back underway after the interval, and Trump scores first. But he plays a safety after a lack of colour options.
Work to do for the defending champ.
THE STAKES FOR THE MASTERS
Looking to the second Triple Crown event after the draw, this match will decide who Mark Selby plays, Neil Robertson or Xiao Guodong.
A win will land him a more favourable match against the Chinese player as the eighth seed, whereas the ninth seed, which could be him or Ronnie O'Sullivan based on today's outcome, will face the Aussie.
Judd Trump will see Ding Junhui.
