Who are the favourites to win the Premier League?

Arsenal

Having won the Premier League last season and being one of the only top teams to have a settled manager and squad, Arsenal have the shortest odds across all of our selected bookmakers to win the league again.

The Gunners finally got the monkey off their back in 2025/26 after three successive second-place finishes, and the added know-how of winning the title puts them in a strong position to do so again this season.

Arsenal have strengthened in the transfer window with the marquee signing of Bruno Guimaraes from Newcastle United for a reported £75m, while Christos Tzolis (£34m from Club Brugge) has impressed in pre-season and showed his worth with two assists in their 3-0 triumph over Man City in the Community Shield.

Other signings are also expected before the window shuts with the Gunners reportedly close to agreeing a deal for Aston Villa defender Ezri Konsa, while the formidable spine of David Raya, Gabriel Magalhaes and Declan Rice are all ready to kick on.

Current price range: 6/5 (bet365, William Hill, Ladbrokes, Betfred) to 5/4 (BetMGM). Best available: 5/4 BetMGM.

Manchester City

Man City were Arsenal’s closest challengers last season, and our selected bookmakers are expecting the same outcome again.

After beating the Gunners 2-1 at the Etihad Stadium in April, the Cityzens closed the gap at the top of the table to them to just three points with a game in hand.

Pep Guardiola’s men then leapfrogged Arsenal into top spot on goals scored, and having won four of the previous five Premier League titles, many tipped them to do so again.

However, that was not what unfolded and after losing Guardiola, Bernardo Silva, John Stones and Rodri among others over the summer, many are predicting Man City to fall short again.

Current price range: 10/3 (William Hill) to 7/2 (bet365, Ladbrokes, Betfred, BetMGM). Best available: 7/2 bet365, Ladbrokes, Betfred, BetMGM.

Liverpool

Having won the Premier League title in 2024/25, Liverpool’s season was poor by their standards, as they slumped to a fifth-place finish.

It cost Arne Slot his job, and he was consequently replaced by Bournemouth manager Andoni Iraola.

The likes of Mohamed Salah and Ibrahima Konate also left the club over the summer, and despite new additions like Victor Munoz (£34.5m from Osasuna) and Ronald Araujo (loan from Barcelona)) being brought in, Liverpool do still seem short in some areas of the pitch.

Having won two titles across the last seven seasons though, the Reds should not be completely ruled out, and our selected bookmakers all have them as third-favourites.

Current price range: 5/1 (BetMGM) to 6/1 (Ladbrokes). Best available: 6/1 Ladbrokes.

Manchester United

Since Michael Carrick took charge of Manchester United on an interim basis in January, no team has won more points in the Premier League than them.

Having guided the Red Devils to a third-place finish and a return to the Champions League, Carrick is now in permanent charge.

They have strengthened significantly in midfield, bringing in Andrey Santos (£50m) and Youri Tielemans (£35m) from Chelsea and Aston Villa respectively, while Carlos Baleba is also reportedly on his way to Old Trafford from Brighton and Hove Albion.

Man United have not won the Premier League title since Sir Alex Ferguson left in 2012/13, but there is a growing feeling that they could be getting closer.

Current price range: 7/1 (bet365, BetMGM) to 9/1 (William Hill, Ladbrokes). Best available: 9/1 William Hill, Ladbrokes.

Premier League outright prediction / tip

  • Our pick: Arsenal
  • Best odds: BetMGM
  • Reasoning: Arsenal now have the know-how to win the title, they have a settled manager and squad and have strengthened significantly in the transfer window.
  • Risk: Jurrien Timber and William Saliba are injured and weaken Arsenal defensively, the Gunners may target the Champions League instead and there is still time in the transfer window for their rivals to strengthen.

How do Premier League outright winner odds work?

An outright bet on the Premier League winner is a single wager on which team will lift the trophy at the end of the season on 30 May, 2027.

The bet remains active until either your selected team has mathematically won the title or it is mathematically impossible for them to.

Odds move in response to results, injuries, suspensions and overall market sentiment: a dominant performance typically shortens a team’s price, while a narrow win or key injury can cause it to drift.

Most major bookmakers, including all five listed in the table above, offer cash-out functionality on outright bets during the Premier League season, which can be used to reduce exposure if a team enters a particularly difficult part of the draw.
