Webb is getting some amount of stick from the home crowd here, as he calls an offside against Kaka. But his team have got it right again, just like they have all night.
39'
In Group H's other game tonight Gerard Pique has given Barcelona a 1-0 lead over Celtic. But of course that game is a dead rubber. This is the one that matters tonight.
38'
Ajax now go down the other wing, with Van Rhjn offering the overlap. When he gets to the byline he attempts a cross into the box where countless Ajax players are waiting but it gathers a deflection and Abbiati can gather.
37'
Blind is causing AC Milan problems on the left side, but this time his cross into the box is glanced on by Serero, who actually took the ball away from his teammates in the penalty area.
36'
Poulsen commits a foul on Balotelli. The San Siro crowd are calling for a red, rather ironically I think. Webb decides to speak to the Ajax midfielder instead.
35'
Van Rhjn plays a very long backpass to his keeper from inside the Milan half, with Balotelli on the chase, however Cillessen deals with it well and clears the ball under pressure.
34'
It's a night of red cards in the Champions League tonight. As well as this game there have been sending offs in the Marseille v Dortmund and Schalke v Basel games too.
33'
Bojan works a good challenge on the right side but instead of crossing the ball into the box he allows himself to be outmuscled by Muntari, who clears down the pitch. That cheered up the home crowd!
32'
The tempo of this game is very fast at the moment. A lot of long balls forward by Milan looking for the runs of Kaka and Balotelli, but the quality is lacking. Allegri needs De Jong and Muntari to take hold of the ball and pass it around a bit.
30'
When Ajax last visited the San Siro, in December 2010, they emerged as winners over Milan. They've given themselves a real chance of repeating that feat tonight.
29'
Allegri is instructing Balotelli to stay up the pitch even when Ajax are comfortable in possession in midfield. Looks like he's asking his team to play on the counter attack now.
28'
So how can Ajax make the most of their man advantage? They've looked dangerous so far but have yet to create a real clearcut opportunity, other than Poulsen's header.
27'
The San Siro is fiercely booing Poulsen every time he gets the ball. They're incensed by the decision. Of course they haven't had the benefit of a replay.
26'
Even more galling for Milan fans was that Montolivo was captain tonight. That wasn't the behaviour of a captain. Kaka now has the armband.

Ajax have their tails up, with Schone striking at goal from the edge of the box. His strike picked up a deflection on its way through, forcing Abbiati to change the direction of his save quickly. But it came off Fischer who was in an offside position.
24'
So Allegri has responded to the sending off by taking off a striker, El Shaarawy, and putting on a midfielder, Poli, to try and adapt to having ten men.

AC Milan sub: Stephan El Shaaraway OFF, Andrea Poli ON.

Milan are reduced to ten men! Montolivo's challenge on Poulsen was late and it was dangerous. Looking at the replays he could've done some real damage to the Ajax player, stamping on his ankle with real force. Stupid and reckless.

RED CARD: Riccardo Montolivo (AC Milan)

Ajax are imposing themselves on the game in waves. A few minutes ago Milan were applying pressure. Now it's the Amsterdam side's turn.

Great save by Abbiati! A cross from Van Rhjn in the right back position finds Klaasen 16 yards out from goal. But despite the distance he judges his flicked header perfectly, with hi back to goal, forcing the Milan keeper to push the ball round the post.
