Now Vettel stops!

Vettel wasn't about to score any points - now he's been told he can stay out in 11th.

Vettel now limping along - what's wrong? 'Retire the car, retire the car, retire the car' he's told.

In he comes - Maldonado's race is over. Just two laps from the end, and for the second week in a row he's denied a points finish at the death.

Oh no - smoke coming from Maldonado's Williams!
54/56
Raikkonen sets the fastest lap of the race - fifth place is a very decent finish for the Finn on just his second race since his return to the sport.
54/56
Time running out - the gap between the top two just 3.8 seconds, but with three laps remaining Alonso sturely will bring the win home.
53/56
If Alonso wins this race, then by my crude maths he could be the championship leader tonight. Extraordinary.
53/56
Webber sets the fastest lap of the race - a 1:41.0 - he's closing on Hamilton but again may not have enough time to try a pass.
52/56
Still Perez closing. Extraordinary list of big names still racing but outside the top 10 - Button, Vettel, Schumacher, Rosberg, Massa...
51/56
A word on Williams - Bruno Senna in 6th, Maldonado 10th and closing on Hulkenberg. A double-points finish would represent a super day.
51/56
That's a real shame - Perez was going so well. He still has second at his mercy - and if he can find his speed again he was closing Alonso at more than a second a lap. There is time.

Perez runs wide! Oh dear - that could be his chance of the race win - he loses it at turn 13, and it costs him around five seconds.
50/56
Sauber sound a note of caution to Perez: Rain coming, don't take a risk... that's downbeat.
50/56
Alonso manages to get just enough away to nullify Perez on the home straight. No passing manouevre attempted - yet.
