It's fair to say this hasn't been a classic so far, but that passing move from Switzerland a few moments ago was exceptional. Dzemaili should have hit the target at the very least.

WHAT A CHANCE! That should have been an opening goal for Switzerland. One-touch passing presents Dzemaili with a chance just inside the box, but he fires just over the bar.

The quality of this Switzerland side shouldn't be underestimated. They won nine of their 10 qualifiers to take them to the World Cup and they are ranked as the sixth best side in the world.

Sweden will need to be careful they don't give Xhaka the chance to shoot from distance very often. As Serbia found out in the groups, the Arsenal midfielder has some ping on him.

FROM DISTANCE! The space opened up for Xhaka a long way out! The Arsenal man was about 35 yards out, but his strike had Olsen worried for a moment. It flashes over.

Neither team is playing with much width at the moment. It's telling that when Shaqiri decides to drift out to the wing, he is finding all kinds of space to whip in the cross.

After a slow start to this match, it's beginning to warm up. First, there was the chance for Berg and the save from Sommer. And then there were a few niggly incidents between players.

WHAT A SAVE! Sommer was at full stretch to make that save. Berg sent the shot towards the Swiss goal, but the goalkeeper was alert and made the diving stop to deny him.

There's just a sense that Sweden are starting to buckle under the pressure. The last few crosses that have been slung into the box have given them trouble. Switzerland on top.

Sweden are sinking deeper and deeper into their own half as this first half progresses. They are attempting to play on the counter attack, but so far their final ball has been lacking.

ZUBER HEADER! Shaqiri, not for the first time, cuts inside and whips a cross into the Swedish penalty area. Zubar gets to the front post, but can only flick his header over the bar.

Behrami brings down Forsberg on the halfway line. The Swiss midfielder is lucky not to have been shown a yellow card there. Sweden were flooding forward on the counter attack.

Akanji has been one of the breakout stars of this World Cup for Switzerland. He's already made one block to deny Berg. He will be key for the Swiss this afternoon.

Shaqiri is very clearly the danger man for Switzerland. Sweden are allowing him to float out to the right side, which is dangerous. Expected them to be much tighter in marking him.

Switzerland are starting to control the possession in the centre of the pitch, but they're not really doing all that much with it in the final third. Good defensive shape from Sweden.
