Cristiano Ronaldo has signed a new deal with Al-Nassr until 2027, the club have announced.
The 40-year-old's previous deal was due to expire at the end of June, but he has now signed a two-year extension.
There had been speculation over Ronaldo's potential exit this summer after he posted on social media "the chapter is over" following Al-Nassr's final game of the season.
This speculation grew when FIFA president Gianni Infantino said discussions had taken place over the Portugal captain playing at the Club World Cup after Al-Nassr failed to qualify.
Ronaldo said he received offers from clubs playing in the tournament, but opted to turn these down.
Following the announcement from the club, Ronaldo wrote on Instagram: "A new chapter begins. Same passion, same dream. Let’s make history together."
The extension means Ronaldo is set to stay with Al-Nassr beyond his 42nd birthday.
It comes just two weeks after he captained Portugal to the UEFA Nations League, scoring crucial goals in their semi-final and final.
