In particular, Lucas Torreira has been a great signing. I'm not sure he'll keep scoring, but he's strengthened them in an area that's been weak for years, and he's reliable. I'm not sure there were any better signings made by anyone last summer, especially at the price.

It seems that more or less, Unai Emery has settled on a system: three in midfield and two wide players. He's not keen on Mesut Ozil, he won't play Aaron Ramsey unless he has to, and he appreciates the movement and speed of Mkhitaryan and Iwobi.

Awesome.

Southampton are miles and miles too good to go down. I doubt very much that they will - they're only three points behind Burnley, who're fourth bottom, and six points off Newcastle in 14th. There's a jump after that to Brighton - a further five points - but I'd say that Southampton have better players than pretty much all the bottom seven.

"Bringing a foreigner in, who'll take time to understand our game," says Graeme Souness. Psst, Graeme: it's not that complex.

"There are no guarantees for winnings. If you want guarantees you have to buy wash machine." Ralph Hasenhuttl sounds a right card.

As for Arsenal, they've got problems at the back. Koscielny returns, and he'll be joined in the middle by Monreal, leaving Lichsteiner on the left. In midfield, Guendouzi keeps his place and on the wings, Mkhitaryan and Iwobi return. Ozil, Ramsey and Lacazette are on the bench.

Sky think it's a 3-4-2-1 - basically they've got the wing-backs as part of the midfield with Armstrong and Redmond behind Ings.
12:38
After last week's defeat at Cardiff, Ralph Hasenhüttl changes formation as well as personnel. Southampton move from a 4-3-2-1 to what I think is a 5-3-2. Out go Lemina and Austin; in come Romeu and Ings.
