Full-time: Southampton 3-2 Arsenal

Arsenal find Mkhitaryan in space, he turns and shmices, but hits the nearest head and that's that!

Long puts an arm in Monreal's phizog and is booked.

Hasenhuttle withdraws Armstrong and sends on 18-year-old Tyreke Johnson for his debut.

Apologies, my console crashed, but not much happened. Monreal crossed and Vestergaard humped away, but otherwise, Arsenal are not intimating equaliser.
90'
The home fans are not impressed.
90'
There'll be five added minutes.
88'
Come on, you can be more descriptive than that.
86'
Arsenal have produced very little this half and Southampton have played with belief and energy.
86'
That's been coming. Not so much in the match, but generally. Arsenal can't keep starting games badly and expect to win them in 45 minutes.

GOAL! Southampton 3-2 Arsenal (Austin) Southampton have stuck to it here, and Hojbjerg does very well in midfield, battling through a pair of challenges before finding Long at inside-right. He might go at his man but instead opts to tease over a cross; Leno comes and misses, allowing Austin to nod home at the far post. It was an empty net, but he did well it keep his eye on the ball, through the flap.

Arsenal move it about looking to set before launching an attack. In the end Monreal just launches it and it comes straight back, then the more considered play of Mesut Ozil wins a corner. He takes it himself, seeking Koscielny, but Yoshida clears.
81'
Southampton are still trying to win this - not sure the same would be so under Mark Hughes - and Arsenal counter with Aubameyang. He finds Guendouzi over the other side, who tries to curl one and does, but sends his shot wide.
79'
Mkhitaryan rolls studs over the ball and whips in a cross upon which Lacazette imparts a flick; McCarthy saves well with arm and knee, before the flag goes up.

Southampton win a corner which Targett swings out; Yoshida meets it beautifully, but Leno reacts brilliantly to repel his header. Romeu scrambles and Long pokes home, but was offside from initial header. Good flag from Sian Massey-Ellis.

A nauseated Lichsteiner is taken off injured; Ainsley Maitland-Niles replaces him.

Arsenal have been disappointing since they equalised. They've lacked quality and imagination in midfield, which is why Ozil is a decent change.
