Alli catches a prone Cabaye with a knee. It could be argued that it was accidental, but anyone who has watched the youngster play much this season will know that he has a nasty streak and it's pretty safe to say he could have avoided that if he'd wanted to.

Eriksen drifts on to his right foot and unleashes a beauty of a swirling shot that dips agonisingly late and misses the far top corner by inches.

Harry Kane flicks on for Son, who looks to dink the ball over the head of Delaney to tee up the shot. There are appeals as the ball strikes the arm of the defender, but that would have been harsh.

Spurs pile on the pressure early in the half, but Palace clear a corner and Alli's shot from range flies high and wide.

Palace get the game back underway. Pardew will have warned his players to expect a siege in this second half... or at least he should have.

There's just one minute of added time at the end of the half and Palace have possession. It looks like Spurs are going to have to come from behind in the second half if they want to win this.

Palace have settled back in to their defensive shape and the game has settled down a tad. Pardew will be delighted with his team at the break, but Pochettino won't be overly unhappy with his either.

Zaha clips in a cross, but Lloris does enough to put Wickham off and Spurs clear.

The Palace back-four very nearly combine to play in Alli, but a last-ditch sliding tackle denies the midfielder. In the next phase of play a low cross into the box fizzes right across the face of goal as Son dives in to try and get a touch. What a game!

There is no let-up to the tempo at all. First a Rose volley is saved by Hennessey at one end, before Vertonghen is forced to show off an impressive turn of pace to deny Zaha at the other.

This is a terrific game now. Zaha sits Danny Rose down (literally) with a weaving run, but his shot isn't of the same quality and fizzes over the bar.

A pull-back in the area is slightly behind Son, but the South Korean pirouettes around his marker to line up the shot... only to have the ball nicked off his toe just as he's about to pull the trigger.

The corner is floated out for Cabaye to hit on the volley - Beckham to Scholes style - but Dier is alert to the danger and makes a sprawling block.

Palace launch a long ball into the box, but this time the Spurs centre-backs are alert and they clear for a corner.

Spurs attack again, working the ball to Alli on the left. He cuts on to the corner of the box and goes for goal, but it's a relatively comfortable save for the keeper.

Alderweireld has a foray into Crystal Palace territory and decides to go for goal. His shot is a dangerous one, fizzing narrowly wide, but the real chance was for Kane, who only need to add a touch of his own to divert the ball beyond Hennessey.
