Isco passes up the chance to shoot! The playmaker tries to pick his way through a packed Malaga backline, but when he creates a yard for the shot he decides to keep going rather than have a ping!

Real Madrid are flooding plenty of players forward when they get the chance but so far Malaga have held firm, other than that chance for Bale. The away side look menacing though.

Now Malaga come forward on the counter attack through Duda but when the ball is played out to the left back Antunes he blasts this effort way over the crossbar. Decent build up play though.

Solid claim for a penalty! Bale is slotted through by Benzema, but the winger's touch lets him down allowing the defenders to get make in position. But Angeleri gets nowhere near the ball with his tackle but the ref says no spot kick!

Real Madrid's front three of Bale, Benzema and Ronaldo have 73 goals between them. No wonder it's been difficult for Isco to break into the starting lineup. But he has his chance in midfield tonight!

Amrabat concedes a freekick in a dangerous position on the left side but the delivery from Modric is poor and the ball drifts over the head of Pepe who was up from the back.

Malaga have started well here. Amrabat breaks forward through the centre of midfield but he is shouldered off the ball by Pepe. The referee says the Malaga midfielder went down too easily.

Interesting that Di Maria is on the bench for Real Madrid. He was quoted earlier in the week as saying he didn't want to play his match for fear of picking up a fifth yellow card before the Clasico.

Of course tonight sees Isco return to his former club, following his move from Malaga to Real Madrid in the summer. He hasn't been involved much in recent weeks but he has a chance to impress tonight.

Pepe and Isco come into the Real Madrid starting lineup with Sergio Ramos suspended and Angel Di Maria only on the bench. It's a very strong selection from Carlo Ancelotti.
