Nottingham Forest's pursuit of stability continues with FC Porto now confirmed as Sean Dyche's first assignment as the club's third permanent manager of the season.
The Portuguese giants will be sensing an opportunity to pour fuel on the Forest fire, but now that Dyche has replaced Ange Postecoglou in the hotseat, a statement win over a side with such European pedigree would be the perfect start for the former Everton and Burnley manager.
Of course, part of the issue Postecoglou faced - and that Dyche has now inherited - is blending a plethora of summer signings with the mainstays of Nuno Espirito Santo's cohesive 2024/25 unit.
However, Forest will be hoping for an immediate managerial bounce after a winless start to their UEFA Europa League campaign.

The side were booed off the pitch during their last outing at City Ground against Midtjylland, with fans making their feelings known towards Postecoglou.
That 3-2 reverse came after arguably Forest's best performance of the season away at Real Betis, where only a late goal by Antony denied them victory.
By contrast, Porto's season has been nigh-on perfect so far, with their nine-game winning streak only ended before the October international break when Jose Mourinho took his Benfica side to Estadio do Dragao and earned a 0-0 draw.
In Europe, they have two wins from two, having overcome RB Salzburg and Red Star Belgrade - underlining their status as one of the favourites for this year's competition.
