I think Hodgson must have told his players to look for both Clyne and Oxlade-Chamberlain on the right side, because they have seen plenty of it in this second half so far.

ROONEY HEADER AT GOAL! Oxlade-Chamberlain does really well to get to the byline and clips the cross into the striker, but he can't beat Sommer with the header. He was backtracking.

Rooney will be desperate to find the scoresheet - even more so than usual - in this second half. Of course, just one more goal and he will become England's top scorer of all time.

Switzerland ended the first half as the better team, and look to be keeping possession better of the two teams. England have a 100 percent record to keep and they need to improve.

CHANCE FOR BARKLEY! Good play between Rooney and the Everton midfielder presents the latter with a good shooting opportunity, but his effort is blocked by Xhaka before it can reach Sommer.

This certainly hasn't been a classic encounter so far. Switzerland might be quite happy with a goalless draw, but England are surely aiming to win every single game in the group. Better needed.

Switzerland have started to impose themselves as this half has progressed. England need half-time to regroup and come up with a new plan. Although they are hardly holding on.

The problem for England in this group is that they ae expected to be on the front foot against most of the opposition. But at Euro 2016 they will have to play on the counter... so how do they prepare?

Oxlade-Chamberlain plays a clever cross into Rooney, who has managed to create a yard of space for himself - but the delivery is just a little too strong and he can't make a connection.

Rooney is having to come extremely deep to receive the ball at the moment. England are having trouble getting possession to the Manchester United striker at the head of the frontline.

Sterling tries to inject a bit of urgency into England's play, driving to the byline before clipping a cross into the box. But in the end the delivery is too deep for Oxlade-Chamberlain at the back post.

The away team are growing into this game. It has taken them some time to find a grip of the contest, but they are seeing just as much of the ball as England now. Dangerous signs for the hosts.

Switzerland are proving quite difficult to break down at the back. This time Oxlade-Chamberlain tries to slot through a pass for Rooney to run on to, but the ball is cut out before it can reach him.
