Harry Kane: How the Bayern Munich striker is using the FIFA Club World Cup to adapt ahead of next summer's World Cup - 'You have to adapt'

Harry Kane has impressed as part of a free-scoring Bayern Munich side at the FIFA Club World Cup this summer. The intense heat has started to make the headlines, but the England captain believes the experience of playing in the extreme conditions of the USA in the summer could prove crucial when he leads the Three Lions at the 2026 FIFA World Cup next year.

Harry Kane believes playing in the United States this summer is the perfect preparation for the testing weather conditions expected at next year's FIFA World Cup.
Kane's Bayern Munich side are currently competing across the pond at the FIFA Club World Cup, and the England captain scored as the German giants booked their place in the knockout stages with a 2-1 win against Boca Juniors.
The weather has caused some concern during the tournament, with temperatures reportedly reaching 30 degrees during Bayern's match in Miami on Friday.
Kane looks set to lead England into next summer's World Cup, which will be played in the States, Canada and Mexico, but he insists he is not worried about the extreme weather conditions.
"I'm not concerned," he told Mail Sport. "It's part and parcel of football. You have to be able to adapt.
"It's a great experience for me and some of the other England guys who are playing this year and who will be playing next summer.
"There's always something special about these World Cup games and next year will be the same.
"When you come off that pitch, and you're sweating, and you're dripping, and you're cramping, and you've given everything out there.
"There's a special feeling inside, especially when you win.
"We [the players] are not in touch with each other right now, but it's something we'll talk about at upcoming camps - how we all adapted to it and what training methods we used," added Kane.
"All of this is good experience because it's going to be tough next summer without a doubt. We have to use our experiences as an advantage."
Kane opened the scoring at the Hard Rock Stadium, but Miguel Merentiel equalised after half-time.
Michael Olise had the final say, though, producing a cool finish to break Boca hearts and ensure Bayern became the first side to reach the knockout stages of the tournament.
England manager Thomas Tuchel has been vocal about his desire to help his players prepare for the weather conditions in the USA, Mexico and Canada next summer.
He has been watching games at the Club World Cup in an attempt to learn more about dealing with the Miami heat.
"It is important to see matches now in America, and in Miami at three in the afternoon," added Tuchel.
"I will see that and how it looks and we need to understand how to cool the players down, to drink and what our options are.
"I have done pre-season there in Orlando and I will be very surprised if we do not suffer.
"Suffering is one of the headlines for this World Cup."
