Joe Cole says Harry Kane has done the right thing in leaving Tottenham to join Bayern Munich and chase medals and trophies. The 30-year-old striker ended his record-breaking Spurs career to sign a four-year deal with the German champions in a deal worth more than €110 million. Ahead of Arsenal vs Nottingham Forest live on TNT Sports, Cole was adamant it was the right move for Kane.

'It's a big gamble' - Joe Cole has his say on Kane's move to Bayern

Joe Cole believes Harry Kane has made the right decision to leave Tottenham and join Bayern Munich.
Bayern submitted several bids for the 30-year-old striker before finally landing their target, and Cole admits he is looking forward to seeing Kane line up for the Bundesliga giants.
"I can believe it, I'm really pleased for him," Cole told TNT Sports. "He needs to go and win trophies and it's a big gamble, and I'm really excited to see what he can go and do in a Bayern Munich shirt."
Kane has won the Premier League Golden Boot three times - in 2015-16, 2016-17 and 2020-21 - but his future at Spurs had been in doubt all summer as he entered the final year of his contract.
With 213 goals from 320 Premier League games, he only needed 48 more in the English top flight to break Alan Shearer's longstanding scoring record.
Kane is also England's all-time leading scorer with 58 goals but he is yet to land a major trophy for club or country.

"100 per cent he's done the right thing," Cole added. "Strikers may have a different view because they live and die by their goals and how many goals they get, particularly in the Premier League and we've seen how long this record has lasted.
"But goal records can be taken, he could break the goalscoring record and Erling Haaland could break it in seven years and then he's No. 2 again.
"But medals and trophies stay forever. If he goes to Bayern Munich and wins the Bundesliga and the Champions League, he'll feel satisfied.
"I'm fully behind him and it's a massive story."
