Harry Kane's 19-year long stint at Tottenham Hotspur is at an end after Bayern Munich completed a deal for the England captain. Kane has signed a four-year deal at the Allianz Arena and becomes the Bundesliga champions' all-time record signing, eclipsing the 2019 deal for Lucas Hernandez. Spurs chairman Daniel Levy says the club tried to keep Kane before "reluctantly" agreeing to sell him.

Kane expresses delight after securing move from Tottenham to Bayern

Harry Kane has joined Bayern Munich from Tottenham Hotspur in a club-record deal for the German champions.
The 30-year-old has signed a four-year contract at the Allianz Arena, ending a 19-year stint with Spurs in which he became the club’s all-time top scorer.
Bayern forked out a potential €120 million (£104m) fee to bring in the England captain, surpassing the previous record €80m (£68m) they spent on Lucas Hernandez from Atletico Madrid in 2019.
Kane could reportedly make his Bayern debut this Saturday in the German Super Cup against RB Leipzig.
"I’m very happy to be a part of FC Bayern now," said Kane.
"Bayern is one of the biggest clubs in the world, and I’ve always said that I want to compete and prove myself at the highest level during my career.
"This club is defined by its winning mentality - it feels very good to be here."
Kane announced his exit from Spurs in a social media post shortly before the official announcement.
"I wanted to be the first to tell you Tottenham fans that I will be leaving the club today," he said.
"Obviously a lot of emotions going through me through now. Sad to be leaving the club I have spent nearly 20 years of my life at from an 11-year-old boy to a 30-year-old man, there have been so many great moments and special memories, memories that I will cherish forever.
"I felt like this was the time to leave. I didn’t want to go into the season with a lot of unresolved future talk.
"I think it’s important for the new manager and players to concentrate on trying to get Tottenham back to around the top of the table and fighting for trophies. I wish [Tottenham manager] Ange [Postecoglou] and all the boys the very best of luck. Honestly I will be watching from a fan point of view now and really hoping the team can be successful.
"It's not a goodbye because you never know how things pan out in the future but it’s a thank you and see you soon."
Kane becomes Bayern's fourth signing of the summer after the arrivals of Kim Min-jae from Napoli, Raphael Guerreiro from Borussia Dortmund and Konrad Laimer from RB Leipzig.
He will be expected to replace Sadio Mane, who joined Al Ahli following an underwhelming debut season after joining from Liverpool last summer.
Kane scored 30 Premier League goals for Spurs last season as they finished a disappointing eighth, and had one year remaining on his contract.
Spurs chairman Daniel Levy says the club tried to keep Kane before "reluctantly" agreeing to sell him to Bayern.
“We sought over a long period of time to engage Harry and his representatives in several forms of contract extension, both short and long term," said Levy.
"Harry was clear, however, that he wanted a fresh challenge and would not be signing a new contract this summer. We have reluctantly, therefore, agreed to his transfer.
“We have seen a product of our academy system become one of the best players to ever pull on a Spurs shirt and become one of world football’s elite strikers. It has been a truly remarkable journey.
“Harry’s achievements and records say everything about the player, and throughout his 19 years at the Club, Harry has been a model professional, on and off the pitch and an inspiration for young players who dream of following in his footsteps.
"I should like to thank Harry for everything he's done for us, all the memories, all the records - we wish him and his family all the best for the future. It goes without saying, he's always welcome back. He’s a much loved and valued member of the Spurs family, forever in our history.”
Kane is the all-time top scorer for both Spurs, with 280 goals, and England, with 58 goals.
He first joined Tottenham’s youth system in 2004 as an 11-year-old.
