Matthew is a freelance sports reporter, having previously spent six years with Reach PLC where he primarily worked for the Mirror. He has also worked for Brighton and Hove Albion and Sussex County Cricket Club and graduated from the University of Brighton with a First Class Honours degree in Sports Journalism in 2019.

Matthew specialises in covering football and cricket and has interviewed the likes of Shane Warne, Harry Redknapp and Jos Buttler over the years.
