Carlos Alcaraz reveals 'craziest thing' he did on post-French Open party trip to Ibiza ahead of Wimbledon preparations

Carlos Alcaraz has revealed the "craziest thing" he did on his trip to Ibiza after defending his French Open title in a five-set thriller against world No. 1 Jannik Sinner. The Spaniard came from two sets down to win a thrilling showdown between the pair at Roland-Garros, which lasted over five hours, and he rewarded himself with a trip to the infamous party island ahead of the grass-court season.

Carlos Alcaraz prepared for the start of the grass-court season with a trip to Ibiza as he looked to recover from defending his French Open title in an epic final
The world No. 2 came back from two sets down to beat Jannik Sinner in last Sunday’s all-time classic final at Roland-Garros, which lasted five-and-a-half hours.
The Spaniard celebrated his hard-fought victory with a trip to the Balearic island, where he "did some shots", before arriving in London on Saturday ahead of the HSBC Championships at Queen’s Club.
The 21-year-old was seen dancing at the outdoor day club Ushuaia alongside Tottenham Hotspur’s Sergio Reguilon, but he insisted there was also a lot of rest involved in the three-day trip.
Alcaraz, who will be the top seed at Queen’s, said: "This year, Ibiza was more chill.
"It was fun, but honestly, I rested a lot, physically and mentally. But I had fun and a nice three days. It was more than enough.
"Once I went to bed so late. That’s the craziest thing. Obviously, I did some shots as well, but nothing more than that."

Alcaraz also went to Ibiza in 2024 after winning the French Open in an attempt to recharge from a full-on clay-court season, despite his coaching team being against the idea.
But with the Spaniard going on to lift the Wimbledon title a month later, there were fewer protestations from his team this time around.
Alcaraz said: "They [his team] knew at the beginning that I was going to go 100%."
He added: "It’s the middle of the season. The clay season is really, really intense, so soon after Roland Garros is the best moment to go anywhere.
"My friends are going to Ibiza every year, so I thought, I’ll go to Ibiza as well.
"But it doesn’t matter the place you’re going. It’s time to turn off your mind a little bit, to rest physically and mentally, and come back to the grass season as good as I can."
Alcaraz will begin his Wimbledon defence in a little over two weeks, when he will have the chance to become the first man in 45 years to complete the French Open-Wimbledon double in consecutive seasons.
There was a point last Sunday when that opportunity appeared unlikely.
As well as being 2-0 down in the final against Sinner, Alcaraz faced three championship points in the fourth set, before turning things around and winning consecutive tie-breaks.
A week on from his remarkable victory in Paris, the Spaniard is still in disbelief at how he emerged victorious against the world No. 1.
He said: "The phone, the media, everywhere, there are a lot of videos from that match, from that moment, match point down.
"I still watch it sometimes, and I still don’t believe that I came back from that moment."
