Good play from Denmark gives Eriksen the chance to stage up a cross into the Croatian penalty area. However, Subasic was strong off his line and makes the simple enough catch.

INTO THE GROUND! Perisic should have done better with that. The chance was recycled after Rakitic's strike, but Perisic smashed his volley straight into the ground.

RAKITIC FROM DISTANCE! The Barcelona midfielder took aim from about 20 yards out, drawing the save from Schmeichel. That was a decent strike from Rakitic. Was on target.

DENMARK CHANCE! That was an opportunity for Denmark to take the lead for the second time! Braithwaite was threaded through, but Subasic came off his line to smother the shot.

Perhaps we shouldn't be surprised by how good Croatia have been at this World Cup. They have players who play for some of the biggest and best clubs around the world.

Mandzukic has been very lively in the opening 25 minutes of this match. The Juventus forward is making runs into the channels, which are proving very useful for the Croatians.

The start to this match hinted at a breathless, end to end affair, but it was a bit of a false dawn. Denmark are quite happy just to sit deep and soak up the Croatian pressure.

Denmark aren't the most prolific side when it comes to scoring goals. They rely a lot on the brilliance of Eriksen, who scored 11 times over the course of qualification. He's their main man.
