Knudsen could have gone down in the box instead of staying on his feet and having his cross blocked. The tackle from Rebic was a dangerous one. That could have gone badly for Croatia.
Denmark have started the better of the two teams in this extra time period. Knudsen got in behind the Croatian backline with a driving run to the byline, but his cross is stopped.
Will this game open out in extra time? It was a tight, cagey affair over the regulation 90 minutes. Croatia had the better of the first half and Denmark had the better of the second half.
The first half of extra time is under way! It's 1-1 between Croatia and Denmark.
FULL TIME: Croatia 1-1 Denmark. We're going into extra time.
RAKITIC... WIDE! That wasn't too far away. The Croatia midfielder unleashes an effort from about 20 yards out, but his strike flashes past the post. Schmeichel wasn't too woried.
Both these teams have accepted that they are heading for extra time. There's not much in the way of attacking ambition from either Croatia or Denmark. We're going to have 30 minutes more.
Three minutes of stoppage time to be played at the end of the match.
Denmark don't lose very often and that has been evident in their performance here. They are solid at the back. They don't score many, but their shape has been excellent.
Schone sends a bouncing half volley wide of the far post. The Ajax midfielder has made a difference for Denmark since coming off the bench at half time. He has steadied things.
This is much better from Croatia. They are finally cranking up the pressure, although there is stil a lack of quality when it matters in the final third of the pitch.
PERISIC GLANCING HEADER! Schmeichel was worried about that. Perisic gets a glancing header on a cross, with the ball looping up towards goal. It lands on top of the net.
KOVACIC INJURY? The Real Madrid midfielder is down on the turf holding his shoulder. Has he dislocated it? He's back up on his feet so it would appear not. One to keep an eye on.
Perisic has been the only player for Croatia in this half who has even attempted to take on opposition defenders. The Inter Milan winger is still trying to create something on his own.
Croatia make a change with Pivaric coming on for the final 10 minutes.
On
J. Pivaric
Off
I. Strinic
Can either side find a winner in these final 10 minutes of this match? On the basis of their quality, you'd expect Croatia to up things, but Denmark have looked better this half.
