PEP WON'T GIVE UP ON PREMIER LEAGUE TITLE YET
Arsenal are now very much in pole position to win the Premier League title. The Gunners are two points clear of Manchester City and if they win their two remaining games - against Burnley and Crystal Palace - they will be champions.
But Guardiola made it clear when speaking to reporters on Friday afternoon that he believes City - who finish with league games against Bournemouth and Aston Villa - are still very much in the hunt.
"They're gone? We cannot win the Premier League?" a baffled Guardiola asked when a journalist suggested the title is now out of reach.

DANIEL FARKE CASTS SLIGHT DOUBT ON HIS LEEDS UNITED FUTURE
"Once I signed the contract three years ago, we spoke about the goals, what we want to achieve. I have to say, my mission is fulfilled and my job is done here, there is nothing to add anymore," he said referencing the fact he has kept Leeds in the Premier League after achieving promotion last season.
"All the boxes that we wanted to tick, are ticked.
"It is important that we are all on the same page and we will have to speak about new goals.
"To do the same again next year and just aim to stay up makes no sense to me.
I have to be 100% convinced."

IS SEAMUS COLEMAN THE BEST-VALUE SIGNING IN PL HISTORY?
Everton paid Sligo Rovers just £60,000 for the defender back in 2009 and he has never looked back.
The 37-year-old is set to end his playing days with The Toffees at the end of the season and boss David Moyes has been discussing the full back's legacy in his pre-Sunderland press conference.
"I'd certainly say, for me, he's right up there," said Moyes when asked if the small fee and length of service give Coleman a shout at being the best-value signing since the inauguration of the PL.
"I get the praise for it, but I have to praise the recruitment team who spotted him at the time and got him over from Ireland. We decided to take him and he's been a great servant to the club.
"You want to bring in players who will be good for the team.
To stay at the club for 17 years, and I've missed quite a part of it, but more recently he's been the glue that's held an awful lot together.
"When it's difficult, he's the one who comes out and speaks and steps up to galvanise the team as well. He deserves a lot of credit as a human being for what he's done for Everton."
Moyes continued: "What I admire about Seamus is he wants to keep playing and playing for his country. He's got a few friendlies with Ireland that he wants to stay ready for and he's in good physical condition. I admire him for it because he wants to do it.
"It would be easy for him to settle down and not want to do it. There will always be a desk for him (at Everton) when the time comes, don't worry about that.
"He learned a lot when he first came in from Ireland. The culture at the club then was what we want it to be and Seamus has tried to keep driving that on all the time and demanding how the players, perform, train, and interact with supporters.
"There should always be a place for Seamus and there will be.
"It would be great for the young players, as well. We want to keep Seamus' culture and Everton's culture behind the scenes going."

GUARDIOLA ON MAN CITY’S HECTIC BUILD-UP TO THE FINAL
City followed up last weekend’s 3-0 win over Brentford with victory over Crystal Palace by the same scoreline in midweek.
The results have kept Guardiola and co in the Premier League title race, but inevitably led one reporter to ask whether the schedule could impact City’s performance in the FA Cup final.
"I would prefer seven days like Chelsea had but when you reach Carabao Cup final, you have less days. It has happened in the past when we have won the title," Guardiola said regarding a lack of preparation time.

'He'd have a field day' - Would Guardiola manage England?

Video credit: TNT Sports

"The schedule is what it is. It is not ideal, but it is what it is. We have done it in the past and we have to do it tomorrow.
"Because the big clubs, when you are in difficult circumstances, you have to do a little extra. It's simple. It is not the perfect scenario to prepare for the final because we have not trained anything since the last game against Crystal Palace. But we are going to try."

MORE FROM GUARDIOLA ON EVALUATING THE SUCCESS OF THE SEASON
"It depends on the trophies you lift. Sometimes you lift trophies and the season has been successful," he said.
"Sometimes, you lift and the truth is the season has been really, really bad.
"I said a few weeks ago this season has been good. Really, really good."
