Napoli seem very keen to shoot when they get half a chance - this time Callejon has a go from the right side of the area with teammates better place, but it's blocked.

Cracking start to the game this. Both sides seem keen to attack, and it's surprising there hasn't been a goal so far.

Insigne looks for a ball over the top, aiming at Higuain, but Sampdoria defend it well.

Big chance for Sampdoria as Kristicic breaks behind the home defence and takes it round Rafael, but his second touch is too heavy and it goes out for a goal kick.

Collision between Insigne and Obiang in the middle, with the former fairly bouncing off the latter. They both seem OK though.

Sampdoria try to get back into the game through Eder down the left side of the area, but again Rafael scampers out of his goal and cuts out the attack.

Superb work by Callejon outside the area, turning then wriggling past two defenders, but his shot goes just over the bar.

Some poor defending from Sampdoria gives the ball away just outside their own area, the ball makes its way to Dzemalli but he drags his right-footed shot well wide.

Higuain does well to turn Palombo outside the area, but he scuffs his shot badly and it bobbles wide.

Gabbiadini attempts a low shot from the edge of the area, but it's fairly weak and Rafael gathers quite easily.

Dzemalli gives away a free kick by climbing all over Obiang in midfield.

Mertens clips the ball over, but Napoli can't get a shot away and have to settle for a throw out on the right.
