We have a slight hiatus for the injury for Balotelli following that coming-together.

Montolivo swings a ball into the box and Balotelli goes down under the challenge of Rodriguez in the box but there was nothing doing there.

De Jong gives away the ball cheaply and Birsa fouls Vargas. Milan need to get to half-time and regroup – this has been another poor evening of football from the hosts.

Balotelli wins a free-kick down the right channel but once again the delivery is not of the required quality and the visitors clear. Milan are not playing very well but they are not getting the basics right either.

Milan have upped the tempo since going behind but Fiorentina look comfortable knocking the ball around in front of them.

GOOOAL. Borja Valero rolls the ball to Vargas, who strikes on target but it is deflected past Gabriel. Looks like it took a deflection off Muntari.

Muntari gives away a silly free-kick some 25 yards out and right of centre for a foul on Ryder.
