Manchester United have secured the services of 18-year-old left-sided defender Diego Leon from Cerro Porteno. The teenager, who made 33 appearances for the Paraguayan club, has joined for £3.3 million in a deal that could rise to £7m with add-ons. Leon finalised his move to United in January, but the clubs had agreed he would make the move to Old Trafford in the summer.

Manchester United have confirmed the signing of 18-year-old defender Diego Leon from Cerro Porteno.
The left-back's move was agreed in January, but it could only be completed once he had turned 18.
He arrives at Old Trafford for a reported £3.3 million fee with up to £7m after add-ons.
Leon made 33 appearances for Cerro Porteno, scoring four goals in that time, and has played for Paraguay's Under-20 side on nine occasions.
It marks United's second signing of the summer following Matheus Cunha's £62.5m move from Wolverhampton Wanderers last month.
They are also reportedly in talks to sign Bryan Mbeumo, who informed Brentford last week of his intention to join United if he were to leave the London club.
"I’m really happy, I think every player dreams of this," Leon told Versus ahead of moving to Manchester. "When you’re a professional, you have to adapt quickly, it is a massive opportunity.
"Everyone thinks I’ll go out on loan, but I don’t have that mindset.
"I’m going to kill it in pre-season and within one or two games, I’ll already be playing with them."

United reportedly intend to assess Leon upon his arrival, with the left-back expected to spend time with the U21 side. But the teenager could progress quickly if he settles well at the club.
He is set to compete with first-choice left-back Patrick Dorgu, the long-serving Luke Shaw and teenager Harry Amass.
