OFF THE BAR FROM WILSON
West Ham under the cosh early on in Potter's first home match in charge.
Alex Iwobi did well down the right to find space to dink a cross in, and the marauding Harry Wilson could only crash his effort off the crossbar.
An early scare for the hosts.
"He's got to score," TNT Sports commentator Robbie Savage proclaims.

STRIKER WOES SEES PAQUETA UP TOP
As we thought may be the case, Paqueta is figuring up top for West Ham this evening.
It's a role we saw him take up from time-to-time under Moyes, and Potter's hand has been forced in his first league match in charge.
Fullkrug and Antonio are out with respective injuries, while Danny Ings - who is sitting on the bench tonight - is desperately struggling for form.

LOSING POINTS FROM WINNING POSITIONS 'A CONCERN'
Sidwell was keen to point out the concerning statistic that Fulham have surrendered 19 points from winning positions this season, but feels Silva has formed a strong "culture" at the club.
"They have, 19 [points], most in the [league]," the former Fulham man said. "It's going to be a concern because we know they like to attack. Fulham, they have an experienced squad. You'd think there's enough knowhow to shut games out.
"But what he has done is built a culture very similar to what Roy Hodgson had in their European Cup run.
"They're in a real good place at the moment. Not just the starting XI but the subs want to make an impact too."

OCCASION 'DOESN'T MATTER' - SILVA
Fulham boss Silva is ignoring the occasion of tonight's London derby, and said his side prepared as they would for any other match.
"We don't change anything," he told TNT Sports. "It doesn't matter for us if it's a London derby or not.
"It's the same approach and preparation for the FA Cup game against Watford. The focus is always the next one, the next one is against West Ham.
"We should have taken even more points because performances have been really good. Some details are not going in our favour when we deserve something more from certain types of games."

POTTER WILL 'BRING ENJOYMENT BACK' FOR KUDUS
West Ham forward Kudus was a revelation under former boss David Moyes, but fell quiet under the guidance of Lopetegui as West Ham faltered in a poor start to the season.
But TNT Sports expert Sidwell believes he will begin to enjoy his football again under Potter.
"I think it was Man City away, where they conceded, his body language - it seemed like he wasn't enjoying his football," Sidwell said pitchside at the London Stadium - live on TNT Sports and discovery+.
"This manager will bring enjoyment back for him, for sure. he will bring attacking incentives, which is where he wants to play.
"He'll demand defensive duties as well. That's the key to this West Ham team and squad, the potential is there, we know they're good players, they need someone there that's going to bring it out of them."

‘Doesn’t get much better than this’ – Potter ‘really excited’ for first home match as West Ham boss
Video credit: TNT Sports
Speaking on the sizeable task Potter has on his hands, Sidwell added: "It's a huge job. First of all it's a massive football club, the fans are really passionate.
"He's walking into a team defensively really poor. Attacking-wise, they're full of injuries as well. he's got an experienced squad and a squad that's got huge potential."

POTTER EXCLUSIVE: 'NO CEILING' FOR WEST HAM AMBITION
New West Ham boss Potter sat down with TNT Sports this week, and he feels the Hammers' potential is limitless.
"I don’t like the ‘ceiling’ phrase. We should have ambition," Potter said in an exclusive interview with TNT Sports.
"We have a fantastic club here with great support, great people, a supportive board and ownership, a talented group of players."

POTTER APPOINTMENT 'SPOT ON' - SIDWELL
Former Fulham midfielder Steve Sidwell is at the London Stadium to watch Potter's home debut this season, and he feels the appointment of the ex-Brighton boss was timed to perfection.
"I think the timing is spot on and I think it's the right appointment," Sidwell said on TNT Sports' pre-match coverage. "He's had to wait a time, assess the situation and reflect but I think this is the right way to do it.
"He's got a lot to deal with here. He doesn't want to get dragged into a relegation battle. It'll be interesting to see how he does that. We know he flicks formations from minute-to-minute in games. It's going to be baby steps and read into his interviews, it's about togetherness.
"What I've seen of West Ham this season, especially when they concede goals or go behind, there's a blame culture. Body language isn't great. so he wants to get that togetherness back."

Antonio in a ‘good place’ and ‘happy with progress’ after car accident – Potter

Joe Cole, meanwhile, was also happy to see the Englishman return to a coaching role after a prolonged period away from the game following his dismissal at Chelsea.
"It's great to see him back," Cole said. "We need English coaches, especially the calibre of Graham Potter.
"The jump from Brighton to Chelsea, I think he will have learned a lot. Coming to West Ham, the demands are very similar."
"He will be refreshed and he will be ready. He can give West Ham fans the blend that good attacking football, that flair, but also what I think the club have been crying out for, that long term planning and organisation in their playing style."

HOW FULHAM LINE UP
It's just two changes for the visitors tonight from their 2-2 draw with Ipswich Town last time out in the league.
Emile Smith Rowe and Andreas Pereira enter the line-up, as Silva's side look to make it 10 matches unbeaten.
The west London outfit - though - will be keen to add more than just a point to their tally, having drawn six of their last nine outings.

WEST HAM TEAM NEWS
Potter is certainly straight into the fire at the London Stadium with a real shortage of options up top.
Michail Antonio and Niclas Fullkrug are dealing with long-term lay-offs, and it looks as though Mohammed Kudus, Lucas Paqueta and Carlos Soler will be playing in a three-pronged attack tonight.
'
Potter spoke to TNT Sports' Becky Ives pitchside, and he spoke about the "focus" he has tried to install in his opening days in charge.
"As I said, we have to use the players we have, and the strengths they have," Potter said. "As a team we have to attack and defend well, that has to be the focus. To try and get the foundation of a good team, a balanced team.
"Collectively, defending together, attacking together, just a mentality that we have to look after each other on the pitch. It's not about individuals, or a squad, it's about a team - that's been the focus of the work.
"How we act, how we behave and hopefully an organisation that the players understand and can be free to play.
It's always a tough game against Marco Silva's team. They're well organised. They collectively have a great understanding of what they're doing and guard individuals.
"Tough opponent, but it's a home game for us, the London Stadium under lights, we're really excited for the game."

GOOD EVENING, ONE AND ALL
A very good evening to you all, and thank you for joining us as we kick-start a bumper round of midweek fixtures - exclusively brought to your screens by TNT Sports.
Here, we will be bringing you live updates as Graham Potter takes charge of his first Premier League match in the West Ham United hotseat, with the Hammers welcoming Fulham to the London Stadium.
It was defeat on the road and in the cup for the former Chelsea boss in his first outing after a 20-month-long break from management, and he will be looking to guide West Ham away from the lower reaches of the top-flight table, following their disappointing start to the season under Potter's predecessor - Julen Lopetegui.
Team news and build-up to come - don't go anywhere.
