My guess is that Spurs will play 3-5-2, with Sissoko taking the right-wing-back slot - though a 4-3-3 or 4-4-2 diamond is also possible with the personnel selected. An iffy start to the season has persuaded Mauricio Pochettino to restore Vertonghen and Eriksen to the starting XI he ought never to have omitted them from, were he picking solely on ability. It's also worth noting that Dele Alli is back on the bench having recovered from injury - Spurs have badly missed his knack and attitude.

So let's look at Arsenal first, who'll be looking to get at Spurs down the sides. Kolasinac isn't much when it comes to defending, but he offers a threat going forward, while Pepe and Aubameyang will look to move towards the box as wide attackers. I'm surprised Ceballos has been left out - there's a lack of class in Arsenal's midfield - but I expect Unai Emery wants to bottle up the middle so isn't prepared to take a chance on a player yet to acclimatise to the Premier League.

Spurs make two changes to the team which lost at home to Newcastle: The injured Walker-Peters is replaced by Vertonghen, and Eriksen is in for Lucas Moura.

Arsenal make three changes to the team outclassed at Anfield last time out: Monreal, who looks to be on his way to San Sebastian, is replaced by Kolasinac; Torreira is in for Willock; and Lacazette returns, with Ceballos dropping out.

Let's have some teams...

To say that derby games often disappoint has become cliche, but that is not the case with this one. In fact, so not the case is it that we can even excuse the "NLD" appellation is has acquired in recent years. The football is generally fast, hard and aggressive, with plenty of needle on and off the pitch - everything a derby should be - and though it lacks the big-picture import that you only get when both teams are going for titles, there should be plenty of other fun to enjoy.
