Eriksen crosses and the ball skips across the face of the box, spinning into the stride of Sissoko. You can probably guess the rest, but in case not, he absolutely spanks a worldy into the top corner, no he doesn't. He slices a shank miles away from anywhere.

Maitland-Niles diddles Rose, comes back inside, and finds Pepe who shoots low towards the far corner, Hnery-style, but Lloris gathers at the second attempt.

"You look at Xhaka, Luiz, Torreira even," says Gary Neville. "They're rash. They like making fouls."

PENALTY TO SPURS! Arsenal can't get the ball away following Leno's save, and Son looks to move it across the box, just as Xhaka obliges him with his customary lunging challenge, miles away from the ball. What an absolute dunce.

... and he whips hard over the wall, forcing Leno to push away!

Spurs are inching themselves into things, and a careless challenge, from Lacazette on Lamela, gives Spurs a free-kick, 25 or so yards out right of centre. Eriksen likes the look of it...

Gosh! Kane shoots and again Leno spills it when he could at least shove it wide, so Son collect and rolls across to Kane ... who should smash but instead takes a touch and is crowded out. That is not something you see very often.

More generally, the force is back with Arsenal - though they've yet to create a chance of note.

Lamela is booked for something, but a glitch in my system means that I can't tell you what it is.

The corner begets another, which comes to nothing.

Pepe curls into the box, and Kane, who's done nowt but help create the goal, flicks a header behind.

Spurs get themselves into trouble when Lloris passes out to Vertonghen, just a couple of yards away. He manages to find Rose, sort of, who's forced to lunge at Lacazette. He's booked, and Arsenal have a free-kick, 25 yards out, right of centre...

It's Pepe, who curls around the wall and a few yards wide.

Lacazette, on the half-turn, moves across the D and sees Alderweireld coming, getting his body between man and ball to draw the foul. Free-kick Arsenal, 25 yards out, dead centre. Pepe looks like he fancies it, but so does David Luiz...

I think this is generous to Aubameyang, but broadly agree with the sentiment; he's wasted on the left wing.
