Increasingly the Premier League focus seems to be on the dugout more than the pitch, and that will have rarely been the case as often as this evening, when two of the most charismatic managers in the game go head to head.

There have been 16 red cars in this fixture in Premier League history, second only to the Merseyside derby's tally of 21. So what's the chance of that becoming 17 tonight? Well, with tensions set to run high (not to mention Fellaini's swinging elbows) I certainly wouldn't want to bet against it.

One or two eyebrows have been raised by Mourinho’s team selection. In comes Fellaini to central midfield, pushing Pogba forward in place of Mata, while Young is preferred to the Spaniard, Lingard and Martial as one of two wide players – presumably because the United boss is worried about a lack of protection for his full-backs.

Klopp has opted for a slight reshuffle in the absence of Wijnaldum and Lallana (who is fit enough for the bench). In comes Can alongside Henderson to add steel to the midfield, while Sturridge comes in up top, presumably pushing Firmino out to the left flank.
