Stoke's attack are starting to find their rhythm in tricky conditions, but it's still that Evans chance for West Brom that's the best of the afternoon so far.

A beautiful Shaqiri pass finds Arnautovic, who controls instantly but fails to trouble Myhill with his shot on the turn.

That's a slightly rose-tinted view from the Baggies official account there. They have played on the front foot at times, but it would take a pretty one-eyed fan to suggest that they've been the dominant team on the whole.

Shaqiri fails to trap a high ball and slides in to win it back, giving away free-kick. For all of the Stoke fans' gloating, their team are edging the foul count 5-1 right now.

Gardner has a pop from distance, but it's an easy save for Butland in the Stoke goal.

Johnson cuts inside on to his left foot and stings the palms of Myhill. The keeper can only palm his save back into the box, but his defenders mop up the danger for him.

The game is developing into a predictable pattern. Stoke are trying to play their way through West Brom on the soggy deck, whereas the hosts are going aerial as often as possible.

The corner is flicked on and Evans is all alone at the back post. He reaches out a long leg and gets a toe to the ball, but he can't quite get the direction on it and holds his head in his hands as his effort brushes the wrong side of the post.

Sessegnon's mazy dribble earns his side a corner. The wide man has been the likeliest creative force for the Baggies so far.

A West Brom free-kick is aimed towards Evans, but he can't quite get on the end of it... probably due to the fact that he was being pulled back. The former Manchester United man is furious, but it was very difficult for the referee to see.

The roles have completely reversed and now it is West Brom who are struggling to even get hold of the ball. Myhill makes another good save to keep it at 0-0.

There's a huge shout for handball in the West Brom box, but nothing is given.

Glen Johnson shimmies into space on the edge of the box and tries an audacious chip, but Myhill was barely off his line and tips the shot over the bar.

Finally Stoke get the chance to get a feel for the game and they keep the ball at the back to try and take the sting out of this breakneck West Brom start.

Stoke hack a corner clear, but they haven't got out of their own half yet as West Ham keep the pressure up in the opening moments.
