Shaw is robbed and Liverpool move the ball from the right to left. Allen finds space, but is tackled in the box, and now Cork hacks Suarez just on the edge of the D. Chance for Liverpool to go further ahead now.

Flagan brings the ball forward down the right, and aims across towards Suarez, but it drifts out of play.

GOAL! Southampton 0-1 Liverpool. Suarez scores, a nice finish. Suarez sends the ball towards Sturridge, looking for the one-two. Sturridge is tackled, and then the ball ricochets off a Southampton defender, rolls into Suarez's path and he curls it neatly past Boruc.

Shaw bombs forward down the left, and then Southampton play a bit of keep ball, Lambert dinking the ball forward to find Lallana's run forward, and his cross is headed away.

Brendan has a daffodil in his coat. Oh, Brendan.

Lallana is barged to the ground by Flanagan in the box. A fairly clearly foul, but one that falls into the category of 'never given as penalties'.

Liverpool keep possession between the midfield and defence, waiting for an opening. A high ball forward finds Suarez, and Southampton nick the ball from his knock down. Shaw's cross on the left drifts behind.

Shaw will be reintroduced soon, and Mignolet hoofs the ball forward from a goal kick.

Rodriguez powers forward through the centre, and is tackled before he gets a proper shot. Flanagan and Shaw collide a moment before on the wing, and Shaw is down, requiring treatment.

Lallana concedes a corner on the opposite side as Suarez takes him on, driving towards the byline. Southampton head the ball away. Sturridge then wins another corner on the right.

Sturridge gets onto a great ball forward down the right, and he sends the ball across for Suarez, waiting for an open goal, but Fonte gets an outstretched leg to it and sends it behind.

Sturridge aims a fierce low ball forward, but Suarez is in an offside position and the ball drifts to Boruc.

Henerson aims a nicely shaped cross into the box but Southampton eventually clear, and Liverpool come back with the ball in defence.

Liverpool now chasing Southampton, but eventually Johnson wins possession.

Skrtel comes across to cover on Liverpool's left wing and concedes a throw.

A reasonable start for both sides, pleasingly passing the ball around. Neither side on top.

I think that Liverpool are going to win this by a couple of goals. With Sturridge and Suarez, it's hard seeing anything other than a Liverpool victory.
