United have had 90% of the possession, Norwich need to try and hold their shape which they're not really doing at the moment. Evans and Giggs have held up the play knocking it round the back.

Olsson fires the ball into the final third but it runs off the pitch. United throw in is wayward and Norwich can go on a break but with no end product.

Evans holds off Fer and Vidic hits a long ball in looking for Evra but can't find his target. Carrick wins the ball back and there's a nice switch but it's won back by Fer.

United have created space in the midfield now and knocking it about nicely. Carrick to Kagawa who is sitting in behind Hernandez.

Smalling knocks the ball on to Young in the right corner and Olsson is out of position. It's all very scrappy at the moment

Good ball fired into the final third by Carrick but it's knocked out of play by Olsson.

Olsson with a free kick for Norwich in the final third and there's a scrap between Hooper and Vidic - Dowd wants a word with them.

Snodgrass gets into the final third but makes a mess of it allowing United to counter attack well with Smalling running down the right wing. Bassong clears well.

Really good cross in by Hernandez and a real moment of danger for Norwich. Ruddy has a bit of cleaning up to do.

Evra slips the ball into Kagawa but there is a good block by Bennett to prevent the shot.

Hoolahan playing off Carrick gives Norwich possession but the ball runs away from Snodgrass towards United's defence

Kagawa, Carrick and Vidic linking up well in the middle allowing Smalling to make a good cross in from the right but cleaned up well by Martin

Man United have confirmed that Rooney didn't travel to Norwich becuase of a recurrence of a groin strain.

Norwich have only picked up 5 points from the 15 available so far in December and only Fulham have conceded more than the 31 league goals that Norwich have let in this season. Some less kind than me would call that a shaky wakey defence

Norwich have beaten United on 2 of the 3 occasions they have hosted them in the Premier League but United have won 4-0 the last two times that the teams have met (Including league cup in October)
