Free kick to Fulham after Cork clatters in to Parker who is left in a heap on the ground.

Duff is released on the left by Sidwell. The irishman crosses but it is cut out by Fonte for a corner. Holtby takes but it is cleared.

Overhead kick from Schneiderlin. Lallana finds the Frenchman who chests the ball up and attempts the overhead but it goes over the cross bar. Good improvisation.

Saints do unbelievaly well to play the ball out from the back under a lot of pressure from Fulham . Sidwell eventually fouls Schneiderlin in the centre.

Shaw goes again down the left. This time he comes inside and finds Rodriguez on the edge of the box. He makes half a yard for himself but scuffs his shot wide of the left hand post.

Bent tries to flick the ball down the line for Holtby but he over hits and Boruc comes out to claim easily.

Half time substitution as Wanyama makes way for Jack Cork in midfield. Aside from that, not much change this half as it starts scrappy.

And Southampton get us underway in the second half. Lets hope for a touch more action in the second 45.

And that is half time. 0-0. About right too. Apart from a couple of Bent chances, it's been quite a stodgy half of football.

Holtby to swing it in from the right. He puts it in and after a bit of head tennis it goes clear. Shaw steams down the left but Richardson comes across to cover and clear the danger.

Meulenseen is discussing something with Ray Wilkins as he waits for Stekelenburg to take the goal kick. A foul on Bent though and Fulham may have a final opportunity this half.

Long ball football. Boruc spanks it down the line and it goes out. I think both sides are settling for a draw at half time here.

Good cross from Rodriqguez but Lambert can't reach it at the far post.

Shaw forays down th eleft again but can't find a way around Reither and the ball is recylced again through Wanyama in midfield. A deep cross from Chambers finds Rodriguez but it flicks off the top of his head and goes well wide.

Bent nods down to Holtby who tries to play a ball over the top to Duff but Schneiderlin does well to nod away.

Getting very scrappy. Think half-time is needed to sort this lot out. Parker releases Bent into the right corner but he can't win anything and Saints have a throw.

Duff is given a talking to for clattering Chambers on the half way line. Saints take it short and some good pressure from Fulham sees the game slowed yet again.

Lull in play again as Stekelenburg takes his time over a kick. Bent offside.

Good hounding deep in Saints half by Fulham. Fonte forced in to booting it clear.

Holtby does well to block a Shaw cross on the left wing. He and Parker then battle the ball out for a fulham throw. Good defending all round.

Schneiderlin booked for a big tackle on Reither on the right wing.
