Don't forget you can watch highlights of this match, along with every Premier League game, from 00:01 on Monday morning (UK only).
FULL-TIME: Drama at the end! Newcastle just about deserve to be level. Wigan looked to have snuffed the danger out, but the hosts grab a point at the death. The game sparkled only briefly, but four goals came, and it finished all-square.
COLOCCINI SCORES! NEWCASTLE LEVEL! A good cross, Carroll flicks it on, and Coloccini is completely unmarked to tuck the ball away. Al Habsi cannot prevent it - there's no time left!
Halsey stops play for pushing and shoving in the box - it's frenzied and frantic fare - Gutierrez to take.
Carroll tries a long-ranger - blocked, but in the next moments Alcaraz is forced to clear for a corner.
Faltering move from Newcaslte and Thomas breaks it up. Only brief respite - Newcastle keep coming forward.
Four minutes of stoppage time - this game is still alive as Newcastle continue to press.
N'Zogbia replaced by Diame in the final substitution. Plenty of boos.
CARROLL CLOSE! He tries to steer a volley back towards the goal - or was it a shot? Either way, he wasn't far out, and he wasn't far wide.
Sub - Ranger on, Perch off!
NEWCASTLE SCORE! NO! Al Habsi spills a cross and it looks like Carroll squeezes the ball in - but he's used his hand to do it and picks up a booking in the process. Great spot from the referee.
Good play from Wigan - Routledge is pressured, cannot see an option forward and ends up misjudging a pass into Rodallega's path.
Carroll penalised on the edge of the Wigan box for sliding in and trying to keep a move alive for the hosts. Wigan again in no rush to move the ball upfield.
Figueroa picks up a booking for timewasting.
Barton floats in a dangerous cross for Newcastle - not met by a colleague this time.
WIGAN CHANCE ON THE BREAK! Decent chance on the break for Wigan - Rodallega fed by N'Zogbia's perfectly-weighted ball, but his shot is tame and saved by Krul.
Newcastle's momentum has just been stifled a little here - it's almost as if the Cleverley substitution has thrown them.
Cleverley releases Rodallega but his flick-up and shot was wildly optimistic from a narrow angle.
The substitution happens - brave - it's Stam off for Cleverley - Martinez clearly trying to keep an attacking threat.
N'Zogbia gets into the penalty area but the ball is cleared for a Wigan throw. Newcastle are not allowing their visitors too much time on the ball and they are on the break once again.
