Arteta plays the free-kick into the six-yard box but again Fulham clear. Everton keep the ball though until Yakubu is penalised for backing in.

Davies with another foul, on Coleman this time, and Everton have a free-kick on their right, 10 yards from the corner of the box.

Davies slides into Pienaar, getting the ball but giving away a free-kick on the Toffees left. Hangeland gets his head on it and Fulham clear.

Decent passing again from Fulham, Murphy tries a lofted ball into Dempsey, who goes down under a clumsy attempted header from Neville but again nothing given. Neville totally missed the ball but any contact with Dempsey was accidental as the American came in on his blind side.

Everton have a throw on the left, in their own half. Baines launches it upfield.

Aimless ball down the right by Jagielka which drifts out for a goal kick. Moyes does not look impressed.

Howard punts it long downfield, Fulham temporarily clear but here come Everton again down the right...

Everton have certainly had the better of these opening exchanges. It’s hard to see why they’ve been so poor this season.

Long throw for Everton launched into the box by Coleman, Cahill gets a touch back to PIENAAR but his shot is straight at Schwarzer, who almost spills it.

Managed to get another look at the Dempsey incident – Jagielka got a toe on the ball, just, but I’ve seen them given. Would not have been a penalty anyway as it was on the edge of the box.

Wonderful cross from Baines deep on the left which causes real havoc as Cahill flies in, he goes down with Hangeland but nothing doing! Looked like minimal contact if any.

More slick Fulham passing as Dempsey almost plays Gera in but Distin gets a long leg on it and Everton clear.

Salcido lofts a diagonal ball into the box but no-one is advanced enough and Howard claims. Neat passing from Fulham as Dempsey bursts into the box and surely a trip from Jagielka but no penalty says Webb! That looked like a trip but the ref signals that he got the ball.

Good pressure from Dempsey on Jagielka to force the England defender to clear wildly to touch. Everton win it back after the throw though.

Davies gets a sighter from distance after neatly turning inside Fellaini on halfway, but his dipping shot is too high and watched over by Howard.

A bit late from Murphy on Fellaini but he just bounces off him and play-on says Mr Webb. Nothing materialises though, as Jagielka puts it out for a throw on the left: Fulham’s first real foray out of their own half.

More high ball into the Fulham box, diagonal from Coleman aimed at the afro of Fellaini this time, but the Belgian’s bouffant hairdo just brushes the ball as it spins away to the left.

Arteta and Pienaar exchange passes before the former overhits a return to the South African. Everton get it back from the throw and now Coleman is on the ball but doesn’t cross for some reason and goes all the way back.

Schwarzer claims another Baines cross, almost dropping it but holding on. Fulham haven’t had any possession at all so far.

Everton have an early corner on the left which Arteta takes short to Baines, a one-two then back to Baines who crosses high but easy for Schwarzer.
