Well that was a blatant booking. Soriano trips Pepe as the Real Madrid centre-back brings the ball out of defence, and now the striker will miss Almeria's next game against Celta Vigo.

YELLOW CARD: Fernando Soriano (Almeria)

Benzema uses his pace and strength to get up the outside of Ximo, but the Almeria does well in the end to shield the ball out of play. The striker thinks he should have a corner, but a goal kick is awarded.

That wasn't too far away! Ronaldo gets himself into a one-one situation, firing a shot off at goal. But Ximo gets across in time to make the challenge, and deflects the effort wide of the near post.

Soriano is dropping deep to collect the ball and brings others into the game. The striker has probably been Almeria's best player so far tonight, and looks a threat when it comes to him.

Almeria were rather impressive in the first half, and perhaps didn't deserve to go into the break 2-1 down. So can they draw themselves level in this second half? Or will Real pull away?

HALF TIME: Almeria 1-2 Real Madrid. Los Blancos head into the break with the lead thanks to two excellent goals from Isco and Bale, although they haven't been at their best so far.

Verza curls a right-footed freekick delivery to the back post, looking for a crowd of his teammates, but Casillas comes off his line to claim the ball confidently. Good goalkeeping.

Well that didn't last long for Almeria. Real Madrid shifted up a gear and have regained the lead within a couple of minutes. Can the home side hit back again before the break?

GOOOOOAL! Almeria 1 Real Madrid 2 (41 mins - Gareth Bale). Another excellent goal! Kroos picks out Bale, who directs a powerful header past Martinez in the Almeria goal. Great header.

It's worth noting that although Almeria have largely struggled this season, they pushed Barcelona hard earlier in the campaign and tend to up their game for the big fixtures, like tonight.

GOOOOOAL! Almeria 1 (39 mins - Michel Macedo) Real Madrid 1. Oh my goodness! What a goal that is! Almeria have drawn level and it's Macedo who has arrowed a long range strike into Casillas' net. Wow.

As things stand Real Madrid will make it 20 wins in a row. It should be mentioned that the world record is 24 wins in a row, and Ancelotti's side have that milestone well within their sights.

So even although Almeria have equipped themselves well in this first half, and have looked well organised for most of the contest, they look set to go into the break 1-0 down. Such is Isco.

That was an exceptional goal. Real Madrid always have a player who can come up with some magic, even when they are struggling to find their stride, as has been the case tonight.

GOOOOOAL! Almeria 0 Real Madrid 1 (33 mins - Isco). That's a wonderful goal! Isco takes the ball down on his chest before cutting inside and whipping a wonderful right footed shot into the bottom corner.

Essentially the referee has just tackled Edgar in the centre of midfield. The Almeria player ran into the official, with Real Madrid sparking an attack on the back of the collision.
