Eastham joins Bury

Eastham's arrival will boost the Shakers after they lost centre-back Mark Hughes to a hamstring injury which is expected to sideline him for around six weeks.

Eastham, a product of Blackpool's youth system, goes straight into Bury's squad for Saturday's home clash with Charlton.

Over the past two seasons Eastham has enjoyed a pair of loan spells with Cheltenham, chalking up a total of 29 appearances for the Robins.

In January he also made a solitary FA Cup appearance for Carlisle during a short stint in Cumbria.

The centre-back started Blackpool's Carling Cup first-round tie at Sheffield Wednesday earlier this month but was sent off before the Seasiders slipped to a penalty shootout defeat.
