Wilson out to reinvest

Yeates, who joined the Blades from Middlesbrough in January 2010, has moved on to Watford for an undisclosed fee, signing a two-year contract.

Wilson said: "Some of the lads are ambitious and want to play in the Championship, as you would expect, and we've had a few nibbles.

"What I must also stress is we need to bring players in too, this isn't just a one-way process."

The Blades confirmed Wilson is hoping to add to his squad before they head to Malta for their mini tour on Thursday.

Wilson, who replaced Micky Adams as Blades manager at the end of May, has signed Jean-Francois Lescinal on a free transfer from former club Swindon and Danny Philliskirk from Chelsea for an undisclosed fee, while Jamie Ward (Derby), Darius Henderson (Milwall), Kingsley James and Phil Roe (both Port Vale) have left the club.
