BISSOUMA PRAISES LEADERSHIP OF ‘UNCLE ANGE’
Yves Bissouma has endured a tricky campaign, dropped from the squad at the start of the season due to off-field issues and then publicly criticised by his coach for a lack of focus in games back in March.
But at his best Bissouma is a major asset, and Spurs will likely need him to put in a big display this evening in a midfield that lacks the options of James Maddison, Dejan Kulusevski and Lucas Bergvall due to injury.
Despite what you may think, Bissouma says his relationship with his manager remains extremely strong, saying that the players see Ange as family.
"It's never changed. We have a good relationship.
"He's like a dad or uncle for us. He's always trying to make us understand what he really wants. For us, he's Ange, he's him. He's got his idea. He's trying to help us every time. He's always protecting us."

WATCH THE TENSE MOMENT IN ANGE’S PRESS CONFERENCE
There was an awkward moment during the Spurs press conference yesterday when Ange Postecoglou responded to a question from a member of the regular Tottenham press pack by calling out an article in which the journalist described the Spurs coach as a ‘clown’.
Taking the opportunity to hit back, Postecoglou stressed that regardless of the outcome of this game he will remain a coach with an excellent record in the game who deserves at least a modicum of respect.

TOTTENHAM’S RECORD IN EUROPEAN FINALS
It is six years since Spurs reached their first Champions League/European Cup final following a dramatic campaign to set up a meeting with Liverpool in the final in Madrid. That game ended a long wait for a European final for a club who had spearheaded English success on the continent.
Spurs were the first English club to ever win a European trophy when they lifted the Cup Winners’ Cup back in 1963, and were the first-ever winners of this trophy (the UEFA Cup/Europa League) in its inaugural season back in 1972.
There are only four English clubs with more European trophies to their name than Spurs (Liverpool Chelsea, Manchester United and Manchester City), but how have Tottenham fared in European finals? Check out their record here:

MAN UTD’S RECORD IN EUROPEAN FINALS
United’s domestic trophy cabinet is bursting at the seams, with 49 major domestic titles to their name (excluding Charity and Community Shields).
And in European football there’s some impressive pedigree too, with United winning the European Cup three times in their history (in 1968, 1999 and 2008), as well as bagging one Cup Winners’ Cup title back in 1991.
The second-biggest European trophy, in its guises as the UEFA Cup and Europa League, evaded United’s grasp until 2017 when they triumphed over a young Ajax side that was packed full of talent.
It’s not all been smooth sailing for Man Utd in European finals though:

VOTE: WHICH TEAM NEEDS TO WIN THE EUROPA LEAGUE FINAL MORE?
There has been plenty of discussion about the strength of the Premier League this season, but even so, it is remarkable that the second biggest trophy in European competition will be won be either the side sitting 16th or 17th in the English top-flight.
Given their respective troubles, victory in this game could be transformative for each club. But who needs the win more? Have your say:
