COUNTDOWN TO KICK-OFF
An update from TNT Sports reporter Ben Snowball on the ground in Bilbao.
In position for tonight’s fun and games. Spurs fans in terrific voice, albeit they have a head start in the decibel-o-meter as their supporters are just two metres to my right. United’s contingent are blending in with the red seats of San Mames, but in good spirits. As to the match? Mount and Shaw in for United, Son ON BENCH for Spurs. Already plenty to talk about and we’ve still got 20 minutes or so before a ball is kicked.

ANGE SPEAKS AHEAD OF FINAL - 'WE'LL NEED RUNNING POWER'
"It's a great feeling," he told TNT Sports.
"Spurs are royalty here and these guys know it's a special night for the club. We, as a football club, we've not had too many of these moments recently, so it's important we take it tonight.
"You can sense the excitement from the supporters. We've sensed it in the town in the last couple of days and we're looking forward to it"

He added: "We're going to need some running power tonight. It was disappointing losing guys like Madders, Lucas and [Kulusevski], because they're very creative in there.
"But I think we'll need running power tonight. It's the kind of game, especially in a final, where we're going to have to work hard, both defensively and in attack.
"The three boys you got in there, they'll work hard for the team and hopefully it gives us a good foundation."

FERGIE IN THE BUILDING
Speaking of Sir Alex, he has arrived and is chatting away in the tunnel.

'LADS, IT'S TOTTENHAM' - SCHOLES LIFTS LID ON FERGIE QUOTE
Scholes was also questioned on the infamous quote used by Sir Alex Ferguson during a pre-match team talk back in the day.
"It feels a bit derogatory to speak about such a great football club like that," Scholes told TNT Sports.
"Obviously, we knew we probably most of the time had the beating of Tottenham. We were always confident against them..
"But today, as well, Tottenham are still a good team. They got the upper hand over Manchester United. They're unbeaten in six games and United have lost the last three against them.
"So it's not quite 'It's Tottenham' anymore, I don't think."

'YOU'VE GOT TO COME HERE AND WIN IT'
Former Man Utd players Paul Scholes and Rio Ferdinand have had their say ahead of the final following a disappointing season for Ruben Amorim's side.
"The season's been a little bit of a disaster," Scholes admitted on TNT Sports.
"We probably look at the last nine or 10 seasons as not being great, but United have been to nine finals in those 10 seasons. So they always give this crowd a day out whatever happens.
"You've got to come here and win it, of course you have, and I think the history of Manchester United will make them get over the line tonight."
Ferdinand added: "There are questions about will the fanbase be happy, even if they win the Europa because they're so low in the Premier League.
"The answer is, when you come to a place like this city on the day, every one of these fans will come wanting to win, expecting to win.
"If they win, they'll celebrate it like it's the World Cup."

MORE FROM MADDERS
He misses out tonight due to injury and has opened up on what has been a "difficult" situation for him.
"Of course it's difficult. You feel the atmosphere now already. These are the games that you want to be involved in, the big European nights. I'm devastated to miss out," he told TNT Sports.
"The manager said to me, as soon as we found out that my season was going to be over, one of the first things he said to me was, 'Be upset, have your moment to be sad, and then get around the group as much as you can, as quickly as possible,' because he knows that I'm an older player now.
"I'm not one of the young lads anymore, especially in our group. So he knows I can have an effect on it off the pitch and the lads respect me."

MADDISON: TROPHY 'ALWAYS BEEN A MARK AGAINST THE CLUB'S NAME'
Midfielder-turned-pundit James Maddison has been speaking to TNT Sports about Spurs' wait for a trophy.
"The noise around and outside the club from the media, even before I joined Tottenham, has always been about the trophy. It's always been a mark against the club's name. And this is a European final. This is a big one," he said.
"The second half of the season especially, it's been pretty obvious that we've tried to really go at the Europa League once we realised that the league was becoming a difficult season for us with injuries. And I think the manager's got the balance well and he's got it bang on, because we're in a European final.
"We've got over every hurdle we've had to get over to get here, and there's just one more to go."

TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR TEAM NEWS
Tottenham’s likely starting XI was largely predictable, with one exception – who would fill in for the absent James Maddison and Dejan Kulusevski.
Ange Postecoglou has opted for the energy of Pape Matar Sarr in that role, with the youngster tasked with putting in the runs to out-work Manchester United’s midfield.
Richarlison starts on the left flank ahead, with Son Heung-Min only just back from injury.

MANCHESTER UNITED TEAM NEWS
The big decisions for Man Utd centred around where to play Bruno Fernandes and which of the defenders are fit enough to start in the back line.
Ruben Amorim has opted to play Bruno deeper in a central midfield two, allowing room to pick both Amad and Mount behind Hojlund.
Yoro and Shaw are fit to start in defence.

REPORT FROM THE STADIUM
Ben Snowball is reporting for the TNT Sports website in Bilbao tonight and he’s arrived at the ground, having checked out the two fan parks earlier today. Here’s the latest update from Ben:
We end our mini tour of Bilbao at the only place that really matters: Estadio de San Mames. Kick-off is just 90 minutes away. The wind’s up, the temperature’s down - fitting conditions for the 16th and 17th ranked teams in England. Both sets of fans are in great voice. One question remains: who saves their season tonight?

DIMITAR BERBATOV’S SPLIT LOYALTIES
The TNT Sports coverage is underway and Dimitar Berbatov is one of those on site in Bilbao to give expert analysis.
Berba played for both of these clubs of course, so he can’t bring himself to support one team more than another tonight.
"I am in the middle, I am torn for sure... And ultimately, I'm going to be happy for the team that's going to win, but I'm going to be sad for the one that loses, because I play for both teams.
"It's even more important for them [both teams] to win the trophy. Unfortunately there's only going to be one winner today. For the loser, it's going to be a dire season, because it will be the worst season in their history.
"So deep down, I think that Spurs need it more because for 17 years they haven't won a trophy, while in this time United have won a couple."
