FIRST BOOKING OF THE GAME
Amad is cautioned for a foul on Udogie.
TNT Sports reporter Ben Snowball: "Biggest cheer of the night was that yellow card for Amad after the referee briefly teased the Spurs fans by not issuing it immediately.
"Udogie v Amad is the best duel on the pitch right now."

GOALKEEPERS STRUGGLING WITH THE OCCASION?

Meanwhile, co-commentator Ally McCoist has urged both teams to "pepper" their opponent's goal.

MORE UNITED PRESSURE

Romero is down in the box after bumping into Rasmus Hojlund, but he's soon on his feet and play resumes.

MAGUIRE DOES WELL
Dominic Solanke has his back to goal as the ball comes to him on the edge of the box and is surely favourite to win possession, but Maguire holds him off and wins the ball expertly. He had to, or it could have been trouble.

RICHARLISON GOES CLOSE
Spurs send in a free-kick from the left and the ball drops at the front post, with Richarlison winning the scrap before seeing his snatched effort deflected behind.
This time, Maguire is the one to head clear from the corner and Man Utd draw a foul to ease the pressure. Both defences have looked a little suspect in the early stages.

This is better from Spurs.

BIG HEADER!

FROM THE GROUND
TNT Sports reporter Ben Snowball:
Absolutely cracking atmosphere. Spurs edged the pre-match noise, but that endless Ruben Amorim chant has taken over now. United have settled quickly; a couple of early, and familiar, defensive errors for Spurs.

HALF-CHANCE FOR UNITED
Bruno Fernandes wriggles through a busy box and gets a shot away, but it doesn't trouble Guglielmo Vicario as it thunders into the cluster of white shirts.
The Spurs defence look pretty shaky in the early stages.

MAN UTD CORNER
United win a free-kick out wide, which Luke Shaw sends into the box for Maguire to get his head on, before Destiny Udogie shanks the ball behind for a corner.
Fortunately for the Italian, it comes to nothing.

EARLY TOTTENHAM CORNER
Spurs are out of the blocks fast and Brennan Johnson wins the first corner of the game.
Pedro Porro whips it in, but referee Felix Zwayer blows up for a foul from Micky van de Ven on Harry Maguire in the box.

THE PLAYERS ARE OUT
And the Europa League anthem rings out around Estadio de San Mames!
"I'm hoping for carnage," Ferdinand told TNT Sports.
"I want mayhem, I want goals, I want jeopardy. But you've got to go out there and put your authority in the early part of the game and gain that territorial advantage.
"Put your attitude out there, get your chest out. I think Man Utd have got the leaders like Casemiro, who have been here before.
"On that point, I'd put them as slight favourites."
