We know they have it in them and here it is! Fofana teases Dalot, gorgeous on the ball, slings over a terrific cross, and Maitland-Niles meets it on the volley, slicing it back over and, at the back post, Tagliafico runs into a volley that's over the line. Onana hooks it away nevertheless and Lacazette bangs home to make sure, but he didn't need to. Lyon are all over it! What a comeback!

That was terrifyingly brave defending. I think he's OK.

Cherki sets Fofana at Yoro, who slips ... and flings his head into the way of the ball, Phil Jones and Nemanja Vidic-style! Lyon work it into the path of Maitland-Niles, arriving on to it ... and Onana just about shovels away in his usual untidy manner!

But they were slow to react to every development there.

It's situations like this in which Amorim's 3-4-2-1 comes into its own because there are a lot of defensive overloads and crowds that make it hard to penetrate.

This and Sociedad home have been United's best performances going forward under Amorim; they are improving, though don't always look to be.
