Gerrard's through-ball releases Suarez but the Uruguay star is offside.

Suarez almost turns Lombaerts but the Belgian gets a toe on it to clear. Zenit break, Witsel on the right but he waits for support and holds it up for Semak.

Hubocan does well to intercept a ball aimed at Suarez and prevent the corner, but his clearance is poor and Liverpool come again...

Enrique with a through ball aimed for Suarez but Hubocan intercepts. Throw Liverpool.

Anyukov gets forward but outswings his shot wide into the side netting with Reina covering.

Hulk with a driving run but, after beating Carragher, Agger is able to coolly intercept and clear. Liverpool counter, Gerrard is tackled by Semak though after delaying his pass wide. Now Hulk with a super cross to Danny, who controls on his chest but volleys wide! Super effort!

Hulk fancies the shot but sends it into Suarez's chest. Still with Zenit though as Neto pumps it long, Carragher inexplicably heads away with Reina set to claim but Agger helps him out and LFC get it away. Phew! Enrique sends a ball to Suarez in the box, he controls but seemed to think Sturridge or Sterling was playing - they're not, so Henderson was nowhere near that.

Liverpool clear the corner but Semak is fouled by Suarez and Zenit have a free-kick 30 yards out...

Hubocan heads Downing's corner behind for anothe corner as Liverpool ramp it up... Gerrard's ball is poor and Shirokov clears. Reina almost makes a boo boo at the other end while trying to kick clear but he does keep his composure to get it away, and Hulk shoots wide. Deflected, corner.

Gerrard to take, a cross as it's wide and Malafeev punches it while flying far post as Agger prepared to head it in! Corner.

Gerrard is tripped on the right edge of the box, Hubocan is booked I think.

Hulk pulls back Agger and the crowd react furiously as they think it was an elbow - it wasn't, just a free-kick.

Liverpool need to score three more now. Surely not? The Anfield crowd is roaring them on...

Suarez wants this, although I'd have let Agger - who can take a free-kick - after he won it. Nonsense now as the ref makes them take it back a yard after complaints from Zenit. The Russians won't let it lie. Now Suarez to take it and Denisov - who is standing right in front of them - is booked.

Agger brings it all the way out of defence, a one-two with Hendo and he wins a free-kick on the edge of the box with a lovely piece of dribbling on Lombaerts. Skill!

Agger with a crossfield pass that Downing takes superbly but his cross is headed clear by Anyukov.
