Newcastle United start their UEFA Champions League campaign with a blockbuster clash against Barcelona at St James’ Park.
The Magpies are back in the Champions League after missing out last season and could not have asked for a more appetising opener.
It will be the fifth competitive meeting between the two clubs and the first since 2003.
Newcastle memorably beat Barcelona 3-2 at St James’ Park in the Champions League in 1997 thanks to a hat-trick from Faustino Asprilla.
Eddie Howe’s side will be hoping for the same outcome after picking up their first Premier League win of the season at the weekend.
