PSG ATTEMPT
Fabian drags a shot well wide from the edge of the area after some sloppy defending from Konate gifted the ball back to the hosts in a dangerous area.

A CONFIDENT START FROM LIVERPOOL
The visitors have had plenty of the ball early doors with the home crowd showing their frustration via a chorus of boos.
It will be music to Slot's ears, but he'll want his team to kick on from here and not allow PSG to begin to wrestle momentum their way.

DID YOU KNOW?
Liverpool haven't won any of their last five away matches against French teams in Europe (D2 L3).
The Reds' last victory came at Marseille in September 2008 (2-1 in the UEFA Champions League).

THE HEAD-TO-HEAD
This is the fifth meeting between the two teams in European competition.
PSG came out on top in the now defunct Cup Winners’ Cup semi-final back in 1997. The French outfit won 3-0 on home turf before surviving a Reds revival at Anfield to progress 3-2 on aggregate.
Back in 2018-19 Liverpool won 3-2 in L4 in the UCL group stage while PSG again prevailed 2-1 in the French capital. The Merseysiders progressed into the knockout stage and went on to lift the trophy for the sixth time in their history.
The home team has always prevailed in this match-up, so will it be a third triumph for the Parisians or will Arne Slot’s men come away with a positive result for the first time ever?

TON UP FOR MILESTONE MAN MARQUINHOS
The PSG defender is set to make his 100th appearance in the UEFA Champions League this evening and spoke about the impending landmark during a pre-Liverpool interview with the club's official media team on Tuesday afternoon.
"Football is fast and unpredictable. I’ve seen so many talented players - maybe even more deserving than me - who never got the chance to reach 100, 150 Champions League games," he said.

"That’s why I’ve always played every game as if it were my last. To get to 100, you have to start with the first. Then you focus on the second, then the third... and so on.
"At a club like Paris, longevity only comes through performance. That’s why I’m still here."

ONE CHANGE FOR LIVERPOOL
Arne Slot makes one tweak to the team that started the 2-0 win over Newcastle last time out.
That sees Andy Robertson replace Kostas Tsimikas at left back.
Cody Gakpo, who was a doubt with a knock coming into this first leg, is not involved despite travelling with the squad to Paris yesterday.
