    THE CHAMPIONS LEAGUE RECORD
Aston Villa have not played too much Champions League football in recent years, and this is the first time they have reached the knock-out stage of the competition since it was rebranded in the 1990s.
However, they have plenty of history in the European Cup, which they won back in 1982, beating Bayern Munich 1-0 in the final, thanks to a goal from Peter Withe.
As for Club Brugge; their last quarter-final in this competition was back in 1977/78, the year they went on to reach the final, only to lose 1-0 to Liverpool

    VILLA HOLD ALL THE CARDS

    VISITORS UNCHANGED
As for Club Brugge, they stick with the same XI who won in the derby at the weekend, when Ferran Jutglà struck twice and Hans Vanaken was also on target in a 3-1 victory against Cercle Brugge.

    MARINTEZ RETURNS
The good news for Villa is that Emi Martinez is available for selection after missing the win over Brentford at the weekend due to muscle pain.
His return is one of five changes made by Unai Emery, as Matty Cash, Ian Maatsen, Boubacar Kamara and Marcus Rashford also come in, meaning Robin Olsen, Axel Disasi, Lucas Digne, Leon Bailey and Jacob Ramsey miss out.
