Aston Villa are back in UEFA Champions League action away at AS Monaco, aiming to continue a very impressive campaign back at the elite level of European football.
Unai Emery's side are strongly placed to secure a top-eight finish, which would propel them straight into the round of 16.
Villa's dreams of securing what would be a second European title are very much alive after their only previous success in 1982, when they won the European Cup.

How things stand
Villa are looking in fine fettle in their quest to seal automatic qualification for the round of 16.
Emery's men sit fifth in the table with 13 points from their six games to date, and most recently claimed a 3-2 win over RB Leipzig last month.
Another victory would go a long way towards cementing a top-eight spot and ensuring automatic passage to the round of 16.

Monaco do not have that kind of luxury, but are well positioned in the knockout phase play-off places.
The Ligue 1 side currently sit 16th in the table, and will be aiming to secure a seeded place in the play-offs as a bare minimum. However, a victory could keep their slim top-eight hopes alive.
