Here comes the music ... drowned out by the home fans, who know their team need some help tonight. Allowing like-minded folk to sit together, lower tier behind the goal, is a rare triumph for the club suits.
19:57
The players are tunnelled ... and here they come!
19:55
19:53
Looking at Atalanta's 3-4-1-2 formation, I'm sure United will be targeting wide areas. They've still got a problem on the right, because Wan-Bissaka doesn't offer enough - though his ball-carrying is improving - and Greenwood is looking to attack the box, not stretch the play. Perhaos Fernandes will look to help out on that side, and on the left, they're serious.
19:51
19:48
On Pogba, Scholes says he knew him when he was a kid and he's one of those players you need to be on the whole time because "he's a bit of a daydreamer". He reckons it's a coaching issue and that United should be able to use him and Pogba with one more defensive player behind, but I've not seen anything that makes me think that's likely. He wasn't used like that at Juve and he didn't do it for Mourinho either.
19:45
Ultimately, Solskjaer has too many attackers. Keeping Cavani was a no-brainer and I can see why Ronaldo arrived too, but they then had to shed Van de Beek, Lingard and Martial, spending the money on a midfielder.
19:42
One thing we can assume now: Mason Greenwood is an automatic choice for United now. I'm not sure what happens when Sancho gets to it, because then there are three for two spots (unless Ronaldo and Cavani are both left out).
19:39
Ole tells BT United have been too open and too easy to break on, so that's why he's gone for McFred tonight, and he expects his team to attack. He says that, more or less, United have a 4-2-4 system given Bruno and the two wingers, and on Rashford he notes that it's good to have him free of pain. You can see him smile, Ole continues, smiling as he explains that he's enjoying his football, "one of the best sites in the game".
19:37
United have really really missed Marcus Rashford. He's their most reliable big-game player, he attacks the space in behind, and his partnership with Luke Shaw is one of the team's most potent attacking weapons. He'll be absolutely flying after getting fit for the first time in more than half a season, then scoring so soon after coming back. United badly need him to perform tonight.
19:33
42s, goodness me that takes me back.
19:31
BT are doing a segment on Gian Piero Gasperini, Atalanta's manager. The key line: "We must never be cautious. Caution is not something that should concern us."
19:28
19:28
19:25
As it goes, I'd also have left out Ronaldo. I don't buy all the guff about him necessarily being an impediment, but he needs to supply the finishing touches in a functioning team. Maybe McFred will help that, the return of Rashford too, but I'd use him in home games against the bottom half and off the bench most of the rest of the time. I reckon defences would least like to face a front three of Sancho, Greenwood and Dr Marcus.
19:21
I'm sure that's one reason McFred are back together again. The other is that United need balance, and they don't get it when Bruno and Pogba play together. If you're choosing one or t'other there's no choice to be made - even if their contributions were similar, which they're not, Pogba won't commit to staying at the club so may as well sit at the side.
19:19
On BT, Paul Scholes is saying that Solskjaer has compiled a good squad, but now he has to make them work hard - and he's right. He also says that United's players wait for the ball to come to them, and citing Giggs and Beckham as examples, reckons that is not how you win titles.
19:19
19:16
19:13
Atalanta, meanwhile, set up as aggressively as they always do. They're probably a year or two past their best now, but they'll be looking to attacking quickly and in numbers. That'll present a stern test for United's back four, but Maguire should be better than at the weekend - let's be real, he can't be worse - and there aren't many teams as deadly against teams who commit men to attack.
19:12
So Ole Gunnar Solskjaer goes back to tried and tested. Pogba and Matic are dropped, with McTominay and Fred both returning. Rashford also starts, with Sancho benched.
